Holy smokes! This tool set does a perfect job stripping and then compressing the included F connectors. I bought it to upgrade my stereo cables to noise-free RG-62s, and they work just fine.

This arrives with ZERO documentation. I ran through wasting 6 or 7 connectors before finally figuring out how the darn thing works. Firstly, use the wire stripper/cutter to the correct RG6 length (my usage). Don't worry if the center core is too long...you can always trim it with a cutter after the connector is fitted. Also, when you push the cable into the connector, push it in far enough that when you look at the open end of the connector, the core's white shield is snug with the hole. You should not be able to see into the hole where the core comes out. If so, you've not pushed the cable into the connector far enough. Second. The adjustment for F Connectors is my primary use. If you find after you crimp that the case is bent slightly or the nut thread is stiff or doesn't turn... you have the adjustment set too high. Simply screw the base further into the grips. The final solution should have the plastic pushed in just snug with just barely an 1/8" of the plastic remaining visible. If you have less or you notice the metal case is dinged, then it's TOO tight and you'll likely find the nut doesn't freely turn... You've crimped the plastic too far into the connector.. The only other problem I faced was trying to use this with some old CATV cable which isn't stamped RG6 (or RG6U) but the core is the thicker RG6. For what it's worth, RG59 is older and simply put, there's really no reason to use it. RG6 works great and best for Data (broadband), OTA Antenna, Cable TV. Anyway, the older CATV cable I tried had a slightly smaller external diameter and consequently, it pulled out of or slipped in the connector when I tried to finger tighten the nut to a TV tuner. Solution was to buy 50' of new RG6U cable. FYI. RG59 is easy to identify, the solid core is visible smaller than RG6. Once you understand the adjustment settings, cutting the cable and crimping a new connector is a breeze. I have the older style crimping tool with RG6 connectors that crimp the metal case but I much prefer this new method and tool.

Not much that could go wrong with it, its a simple connector. The only thing I found about it is you have to be careful when screwing it on to the coax. If you go to far it starts to push the middle plastic piece out of the other end and won't connect to the M BNC. Over all, this product does the specified job and is worth the money.

Almost perfect for casual DIYers. Instructions for setting adjustments would be helpful.

I got saw how flimsy everything was and it couldn't get a clean cut from the passthrough. It should work for the standard non feed through rj45. But who in there right mind would do that?

Looking for tools for my techs and this hasn’t let me down yet. The build quality is very sturdy and strong for the abuse we give these things. We have tried quite a few different connectors and so far no issues with it. The price is very reasonable for the tool. Would recommend purchasing it for you DIYers or for your Techs.

Got it yesterday, seems solid enough to make various connections but any instructions on how exactly t use the 2 tools and what pieces to use for different connectors would be nice. There were exactly ZERO printed words in any language included. If you don't have experience with this type of tools then you are left to cobble together general knowledge info from places like YouTube - you know, the blind leading the blind.
