Awesome book
I like how this book takes a multi-faceted and holistic approach, it really covers the hows and whys of emotion which makes it much easier to internalize emotional or anger management (at least for me). I felt that the examples were just the right amount to understand the concepts at a more innate level. Really recommend this book, its concise, to the point and I love the practical and philosophical approach. Couldn't ask for more! :)

MY NEW MANTRA: I CAN DO IT
I love Patrick Kings books. I just finished Control your Emotions. My biggest takeaway from this book is how to combat negative self-talk with this mantra: I CAN DO IT. He suggests: start a WORRY JOURNAL and on one side of the page write your concerns. On the OTHER side, write ideas on how to resolve them. My goal is to be relatively cheerful even in times of trouble. This book has many very practical suggestions for achieving that goal.

Lots of valuable stuff packed in the first half of it
There were genuine, helpful insight in that book although it erred on the lengthy side a little too much for my own taste. Parts about emotional granularity and the dynamics of self-esteem really helped frame my inner dialogue in a better and healthier way. But there's just too much stuff at the end. For example, I've read about Buddhism and Stoicism before. I don't need a 10 pages crash course on each. That's boring and not pertinent to the exercise. I don't need to know who managed his negativity the best. I want help managing mine, you know?

This book has changed my life !!?
This book has changed my life! I have never felt so good in my life. I finished a book! because I absolutely hate reading! Not only did I finished it, I finished it with deep understanding. It has completely changed how I perceive things and to make sure I'm not being misled by my own mind. It has definitely erected more positive approach in dealing with my emotions and to see and do things differently without sabotaging myself which I've really struggled with all my life. Thanks Patrick King, this book is amazing and definitely looking at your other collections.
