Solid pan; wish they made a lid for it
This is a great little pan. I was fairly skeptical about the sturdiness of the handle before receiving it, but it seems to be made from thick enough metal and the rivets are tight. Since it is stovetop safe, we use this for sauces we are only making a small amount of, simple syrup, melting butter. It could easily be used to reheat soups (etc) for one person. The pour spout is a terrific feature, considering that most pots/pans and dry measuring cups don't seem to have them. If only pouring out part of a liquid from something like that, you get a mess down the side. Like others have mentioned, I'd prefer a spout on both sides. Keep in mind that the capacity of the pan is greater than what you'll actually be able to use -- our 3-cup holds 3 cups if filled to the rim. That's fine for a measuring cup, but don't expect to use the full capacity on the stove. Plan your purchase accordingly. The footprint is smaller than most small stove burners. Hasn't been an issue for us, but worth considering. I really wish they made a lid for this, even just one that could be purchased separately.

Product pays for itself.
My review comes 5 years later. Yes, it took me a while to finally review this product! When I first moved out on my own as a college student I bought many measuring cup sets from Walmart for a dollar. They faired alright but, after many washings the measurements gradually faded, and the plastic edges became rough. Only needing for me to replace them 6 months to a year later. Which added up to some money that I got tired of just wasting. So, I finally searched Amazon for what my a Chef Quality measuring cup. I came across RSVP and I'm so so happy I did. I bought several sets and decided I need something bigger than the typical 1 cup because I had grown tired of my glass measure cups as well (the numbers disappeared). The 1.5 cup is really a wonderful measuring cup. It is strong enough to be heated on the stove for chocolate or a stick of butter. I've put everything from water, sugar, onions, to oil in it. After 5 years it still looks like it is nearly new. I haven't cared for it any special manner other than tossing it in the dishwasher. I can still clearly read the etched numbers and wording on the cup. Which I love. I've saved a tons of money buy purchasing these, and I am so glad I did. Its worth the price and it pays for it with time. If I kept up with plastic cups I would of bought lets say 3 sets a year. Lets say they're a $1.00 a peice. In 5 years that would be $15.00 meaning this product really has paid for itself and will continue from every year forward. Additionally, I don't see myself needing to replace it any time soon. I have added more cups to my collection. I rather pay for quality.

Super sturdy measuring cup. Received item very quickly. Holds up to being dropped numerous times on a concrete floor. (Kennel owner)

Good
This is the perfect size for our dog's meals. It's sturdy and holds up to dropping on our tile. I might buy more for the kitchen if I get back into baking.

Hefty, but costly
I like that this RSVP Endurance 3 Cup measuring cup is the same as the 7-pc measuring cup set (1/8 C through 1 C measures), the 1.5 C, and the 2C RSVP Endurance measuring cups I purchased at a kitchen store in my home town. I'd have purchased the 3 cupper at the mom&pop store too, but they were OOS, so I checked for it on Amazon (same price both places). I like the heft of the cup. I use these measuring cups for dry/solid measuring. I use OXO brand measuring cups/pitchers for wet/liquid measuring. I don't like the price; I think it's high. But the product will last. I intend to use the cup on my INDUCTION stove top for gently melting chocolate, or butter , probably with a silicone mat between the burner and the measuring cup just to protect the induction surface

Perfect for measuring dry items for 3 cups. Perfect for bread making.
Needed a 3 cup measure for use in bread making. This one is perfect for my needs. The three cup line is right up to the edge, so I can measure out three cups of flour and then use a straight edge to level off. Would not work for liquids.

Great Measuring Scoop
I got this scoop to measure out flour for my bread machine. The machine uses 3.5 cups of flour, of which, I use whole wheat flour for the half cup. The flour has to be scooped up with a spoon and put in the measuring container then leveled off. Using the 3-cup measure will save me significant time over having to fill 3 separate cups and level them. While it isn't a lot of time, it adds up making 3 loves a week. But the pan can be used for many other purposes beside measuring out flour for bread. It is suitable for the stove or oven though the handle will heat up so you would need a mitt or pot holder when handling it. The measuring pan is very well made and sturdy. It will last a lifetime with care.

I was glad to see the listing included scooping pet food as a purpose. I won't hurt their feelings, then, by saying that I use it for scooping clay cat litter from bags too heavy for me to just lift and pour. My bad back won't let me lift anything heavier than 4 kg (8.8 lbs), but the litter my cats deign to use doesn't come in any bag lighter than 10 kg. Since they won't use clumping litter, I change litter pans completely every day. Others do yoga or aerobics, my daily exercise is bend-scoop-pour, bend-scoop-pour, ten times to fill the pan to the level preferred by the users. Plastic scoops break, garden-trowel shaped scoops spill on their way to the pan. This one is perfect for my need.

I have had this little pan for over a year and it still looks as good as new, it is used regularly as it is perfect for melting butter or warming small amounts of sauce etc. I find I use it more as a pan than as a measuring cup. The only downsides are that I would prefer the pouring spout to be on both sides and the 2 cup measure line is a little below the top of the pan so if you fill it up and then level off the top you would have a bit more than 2 cups. However, several visitors have complimented my "cute little pan" saying how useful it must be.

Very good quality. Good weight. Liked that it had measurements inside & that you could use it on the stove element to warm up contents. I have ordered another one for a family member.
