In this book, popular Fuji Rumors "X-Pert Corner" columnist Rico Pfirstinger teaches about the little-known capabilities of the Fujifilm X-Pro2, which he’s discovered through months of in-depth research and experimentation with the camera. After a brief overview of the camera’s basic functions, Rico cuts to the chase and provides a plethora of tips and practical instructions not found in the user's manual. With this knowledge, you will be able to take full advantage of the capabilities of the X-Pro2. The Fujifilm X-series cameras have amazing features but may require an adjustment period for those new to using these cameras, even photographers who have been lifetime shooters. This guide will help you to quickly feel comfortable using your camera so that you can achieve excellent results. Topics covered include: Menu shortcuts Long exposures Firmware upgrades Hybrid autofocus system Auto and manual focusing Face detection ISOless sensor Dynamic Range expansion Film simulations Custom settings RAW conversion Panoramas Movies Self-timer Flash Adapted lenses And much more… Review: IT’S ALL HERE IN THIS BOOK - It’s a manual on steroids. He writes clearly because he thinks clearly. I use it for reference if I want to work with some flash or anything complex. I would rather pull a rattlesnake out of my bag than a flash but find myself seeing the simplicity of the supplied Fuji mini flash and one rattlesnake. I could be wrong. I enjoy capturing people doing their thing (no flash no shutter sound black and white.) Quiet, breath and pay attention. The flash thing is a left brain activity. You bought a $2,000 camera. Buy the best documentation you can. Light up the the Kindle account. Download to an iPad Mini. (Not the 4.) The new one. The 4 is slow. Get the SD lightning adaptor. Don’t judge when your shooting. Import your photos into the mini to determine what’s there. Do you have a chance for a second round? Review: Very useful tips! - Good book already but more photos would be better. A bit more detailed and pro than what beginners need though.

Greatly enhance your skill and understanding in the use of the Fuji x-pro2
This is an excellent book that explains how and why to use the features of the Fuji x-pro2 camera. The author provides many insights into the functioning of the various systems of the camera. Also included are procedures such as shooting for HDR, using settings specific to the x-pro2. This book goes far beyond the manual, reviews, and YouTube videos in helping to understand and use the x-pro2. The author was immediately responsive to a question I sent to him on Facebook.

Deceptively good.
Quality is found in the details and clarity of his tips. Well worth the price. I do not find Fuji to be intuitive; this helps make it more so.

Good Inforrmation Which Will Save You Hours Learning the XPro2
Not as good as Mr. Pfistinger's book on the XPro1 but with the website annotations it is a book that will stay current with firmware updates by Fuji. The menu structure of the 2 is much different (and better) than the 1 and Rico guides you through the pitfalls.

Overall a very good and comprehensive booklet
This booklet describes the X-Pro2 from basic knowledge to expert experience and helps therefore to improve the photographers skills substantially concerning this camera. You can skip what you already know and learn and try whats new for you. Overall a very good and comprehensive booklet! Highly recommended! Thanks!

Needs an editor
There is information here, but the author makes you work to get it. For example, there is more than a page on a feature named Lens Modulation Optimizer (LMO). He states: - It's used on other Fuji cameras - "Counteracts optical phenomena (like diffraction and corner softness)". Are there others? - LENS send LMO data to camera. - Not all lenses support LMO. - How to enable LMO - Correcting diffraction - Correcting softness [Apparently, LMO does not correct any other effects]. - "LMO corrections are only visible in JPEGs that are generated in the camera." So after a page, we find out that it's useless for RAW files. The author doesn't just say that, we have to get it as the consequence of his statement. IMO that should the first statement about LMO so RAW-only shooters can ignore it. After stuff like this, I need a nap.

Extremely helpful.
Having just bought the X-Pro2, I looked for a book for reference in getting started with the camera as soon as I could. I didn't see anything with what I considered to be realistically priced until I saw this. Perfect for what I needed and affordable too.

Book a 'must' for X-Pro 2 owners
Fujifilm cameras are known for their overly complex menus and this book will help most users sort out all the options. Anyone who owns a Fujifilm X-Pro 2 should have a copy of this book in their bag.
