Great little lazer
Great little lazer. Only negative is that you need a tripod to use the plumb Bob feature. The Bosch one with the plumb Bob comes with a mini tri pod that brings the lazer about 4" off the ground so you can see the other spot. The Klein one is only about 3/4" off the ground. But the Klein come comes with a hard plastic case where the Bosch is just a soft case. I kept the Klein one because of the hard case, better protection in the cross box of my truck

Combined with a tripod & a Klein measuring device, this thing will conquer the world! FANTASTIC!!!
This is a great laser level! I should have bought it a long time ago, as it makes layout & measuring so much easier AND faster, too! The 'Plumb' spot ability is an added PLUS to the horizontal & vertical cross lines! The only thing it lacks is the ability to lock the pendulum while keeping the red beam 'ON' to layout lines on a diagonal. Unfortunately, locking the pendulum ALSO turns the laser 'OFF'. That's unfortunate, but for my use this fits the bill! It works great in daylight both inside the house & outside on sunny days, although not in direct intense sunlight. NO COMPLAINTS whatsoever! It is 'self-leveling' AND the pendulum 'locks' for secure transport & it's all in a great plastic case! I've combined its use with the laser measuring device also made by KLEIN while working on my projects like laying floor planking, installing a fireplace, installing patio doors to replace existing windows & doors and building a deck outside the rear of out home? This thing is GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!

Has paid for itself on first use. I Love it!
I had to replace our bathroom vanity and bought this Klein Laser Level after watching a YouTube video demoing laser levels for carpentry uses. I put it on a small tripod that came with a Konus spotting scope I have. I turn the device on 3 Axis and: low and behold, I can * immediately * tell the leveling / alignment of the new Ikea vanity I was roughing in. For the heck of it I compared against the readouts from 2 yellow conventional levels I own and it's right on. PLUS: The beams are very bright. Indoors it produces bold unmistakeably clear lines. I'm impressed considering it's price being at the still affordable / DIY user level (which is me). (Some of those Bosch laser levels range from around $300 - $800, that is Pro stuff it would be silly for me to buy.) I used this for an Ikea vanity install in a very brightly (fluorescent) lit bathroom. The lines are unambiguously visible, bold and clear. I also took this device outside on a beastly hot, bright, 98 degree August day and yeah, it's a lot harder to see the lines in blasting outdoor light but, for the price, I can't complain. It feels very solid, well built, not cheap. I will never be a carpentry "pro" but , for my purposes, this device will help me out on my various self-starter home fixit projects. Runs on 2 AA alkaline batteries which come shipped with the unit. I can recommend this for DIY users. It's perfectly fine for it's price point. If you do a LOT of outdoor construction, a suggestion: You could order this unit from Amazon and test it on a sunny day and see if it will function (produce visible lines) outdoors at a visibility level you are comfortable with. If you don't like it, send it back, eh? YMMV. I'm going to use this Klein laser level device this weekend when I build a new plastic shed from a kit. I plan to build a level non-permanent foundation first. P.S. Comes with a super durable, moulded black plastic hinged carrying / storage case with 2 large snap-clasps on it. Very heavy duty protection.
