This controller is better in every single way than the standard Microsoft XBOX 1S controller. New D-pad is way better. Makes it easier to do quick combos, Easier to quickly input the buttons. Less thumb movement. All around better D pad. Triggers have more feeling than standard Xbox S controller. Grip gives a huge gameplay advantage, WAY MORE than you expect it to. Found myself going on record breaking killstreaks that I was never able to achieve with standard controller. Face buttons are more smooth and flattened and that feels pleasant. Easier to press without sacrificing much clickliness. USBC charging input is better than micro USB, which is more prone to breakage and failure. USBC charges faster too. Color is amazing! You will NOT lose this controller. I have a next shade darker green controller thats identical, and its equally as beautiful. Electric Volt Green matches the white on the back so perfect! Buy this! You won't be disappointed.

The “core” controller is the latest iteration of the xbox controller and from a quick glance it can be difficult to spot a difference from the xbox one controller but there are some subtle ones. The core controller now sports a textile grip texture at the rear of the controller and at the top of the LT and RT triggers. I have never had an issue with slippage on my previous xbox one controller but the texture is a welcome addition and it is very subtle which didn’t cause any discomfort in my hands. The Dpad now sports a similar look to the old 360 design but despite this it thankfully works like a regular Dpad and seems to be much more “clicky” now. It’s responsive and will work fine on platformers and similar style games though it would not be my first preference for fighting games. The only other addition I could spot is the share button which I understand is to capture games clips and screens. The analog sticks feel the same to me and the controller still requires double AA batteries although a battery pack can be purchased separately. Annoyingly, unlike my previous xbox controllers I was not able to get this working via Bluetooth on Ubuntu but connection through USB works with no issues so I just use it like that. I have tested it on a Windows 11 machine and the Bluetooth connection works as expected. Just make sure to select the section under Bluetooth devices that specifically mentions xbox controllers. The version I purchased was the electric volt that sports a two tone colour variant with a Kermit style green at the front and plain white at the back. Initially I thought that white would have quickly become dirty but after a few months of usage this was thankfully not the case. The grip texture strangely does not collect grime buildup which is much appreciated although I wonder what sorcery did they conjure to make this possible? Even if you are primarily a mouse and keyboard player it’s always handy to have a controller in the event you stumble across a game that demands it and I don’t think you can go wrong with this controller which can be had for <50 dollars on sale. I think it’s a perfect pickup if you need a new controller or replacement BUT If you already have a working xbox one controller I don’t think it’s worth spending money for this as an “upgrade” unless of course you really need that share button functionality. Personally, I think the PS5 controller wins the competition this round with newer tech like haptic and audio feedback for games that support it and that support does seem to be growing but that controller is substantially more expensive. You can’t go wrong with either but the core controller is in a much more affordable position particularly at sales prices.

Huge fan of black and green and it works flawlessly

Nice to not have stick drift (for now). I love the color. Connected right away. It's a standard Xbox controller, everything is the same as the one the console comes with.

MOST RECENT UPDATE: Xbox support finally got back to me on Twitter, but only after I sent them message saying how disappointed I was in them. They insisted that the controller should work with my chatpad, so I did an exchange. Lo and behold, they were right. I simply got a bad one on the first try. The controller itself does seem to be an improvement over the Xbox One versions. It has better texture on the grips and the triggers and bumpers seem to be better made. The buttons seem the same, which is disappointing but at least they're not worse. The share button is not needed if you have a chatpad, but I'm sure it's nice for those who don't. As for Microsoft and Xbox support, we'll I don't have much good to say. They didn't respond until I stayed after them, and even then the response was anything but apologetic. They really don't seem to care. It's really disappointing because Xbox on the whole is a solid platform; in many ways it's better than its competitors. Too bad their support is worse now than it ever was. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Before I bought this controller, I asked Microsoft if an Xbox One chatpad would work with it. They answered that yes, it would. Well, it doesn't. I have two other Xbox One controllers and the chatpad works fine in both, so it's not the chatpad. It clicks into this new controller, but there is no power. It does not work. This was a deciding factor in my purchase, and since it fails to live up to what was promised it only gets one star. This review could be updated if there is a response from Microsoft. UPDATE: I have received no response from Microsoft, not here nor anywhere else I've tried. They do not seem to care about this. I'll be returning this controller as soon as the July 4 holiday is over. Thanks for nothing, Microsoft/Xbox. For the record, your controllers and the lack of support for them continues to be one of the worst parts of the Xbox experience.

I bought this controller to play games on pc.I have used many controllers before such as redgear wired controller,powera enhanced controller and also PS5 controller..And this is my first xbox controller.The colour of this controller is lit🔥.After holding this product you can definitely tell that this controller is really premium(specially the textured grip of this controller and even also the both textured triggers)..The compactness and confortness of this controller is top notch..I love the fact that Microsoft is still using the battery system rather than making it only rechargable controller like PS5 controller..You can use Disposable batteries(but I personally don't recommend it),you can use Microsoft xbox play and charge kit or you can use rechargeable batteries such as Panasonic Eneloop pro(I personally recommend it to everyone) or you can charge it with the charging station also,And this is one of the main reason I bought xbox core wireless controller..If you will buy this controller then you will definitely gonna love it for sure..I personally suggest to buy this controller with Panasonic Eneloop pro rechargeable batteries and Panasonic Bq-cc55N charger then it will be a nice combo for sure.And don't forget to check the seller's reviews and rating(My seller was Zupitex).Thank you😊
