Surprisingly effective fence post repair kit
I wasnโt sure this Post Buddy repair kit would work for me, given my fence posts barely have any concrete around them, but I decided to give it a try anyway. To my surprise, it worked really well! I hammered it into the ground to secure the post, and itโs now stable - still wobbles a tiny bit in high winds, but itโs a huge improvement from before. The kit isnโt super cheap, and it would be nice if there were more than two stakes in a pack, but itโs still far cheaper and easier than replacing the entire post. Very happy with the results.

Best solution for a broken or rotted post
I thought it would be hard to install, but it could not have gone more smoothly - 20mins start to finish. The two strips are much easier to hammer in than I expected - very sturdy but slightly flexible, which ensures the club hammer can get them in all the way down to the right level - and they make easy chiselling progress between the old stump of wood and its concrete retension. It is a very clever and effective solution, and works even when space is very tight - e.g plants and fence panels which may need to be temporarily moved. My tip: use a small piece of 3/8" or 9mm wood as a wedge between the strips and the post when hammering instead of your hand, and remove these before screwing in tight! I chose this above any of the other many solutions, and while pricey - it is cheaper than a new post, let alone the cost, time, effort, disruption to fit one as the only alternative.

Very impressed
So quick and easy to install and to get the post vertical. The 4' wooden fence post, which is rotted at ground level, now feels solid. I'll definitely use these again.

Worth buying.
Simple and easy to use so long as you do not hit a big stone or more concrete. Sturdy and seem to do the job - winter will tell the tale!

Excellent product
This was one of those rare products that significantly exceeded my expectations. Arrived earlier than expected. Very sturdy post supports. Took 15 minutes from walking out of the door with them to completion of the job. My rotten post embedded in concrete is now rock solid, and the repair is almost invisible. The post is black and the Post Buddies are red oxide colour so I sprayed them after fitting with Hammerite. Worked a treat. I would DEFINITELY buy another set of these if I have another rotten post - they are excellent.

Just the jog. Pity no fixings included.
I wouldn't call it a "repair kit" because it doesn't come with the required fitting screws, but the stakes look just the job!

Pretty good. Easy to install.
I used two kits on two posts that had very small movement. Installation was easy, particularly using the recommended weight of lump hammer. Rather than hold the post buddy as I hit it, I used a small wedge of wood to bring it off the post and this worked well. One post doesnโt move at all now. One post moves an extremely small amount. No idea how long they will last but this was an easier option than lifting paving slabs to put in new posts. They took the fence paint I applied to them to blend in. Would have given 5 stars if they had completely secured the posts - the posts werenโt snapped or moving much at all before installation.

Did not work for me
I could not hammer them between the post and concrete as advertised.

Works great
I was little skeptical, but the steel is thicker than I expected and seems to work well. The top of the concrete was lower than the ground so the post rotted. I added 2 braces and build up the concrete to be above ground to prevent further deterioration. Some posts were not as bad, so I added 1 brace to the front and added concrete. Time will tell if this works. 2 of the posts are too far gone and I will do a proper replacement pulling the concrete up,.installing new post and concrete. If the posts are not too far gone, this system should work. I was also surprised that it was not that hard to hammer the brace in, I used only a regular hammer.

Fixed the rotten post
I used this to fix a fence post that had completely rotted through at the ground. The gate was attached to that post, and it wasn't working very well. With these steel pieces pounded into the ground, on adjacent sides of the post, the fence is now decently solid, and the gate works well. It has lasted for two years so far. We still have to replace the fence at some point, but it's allowed us to defer the costly fence replacement project.

Better than the ones from HD
I had been using the Simpson ones that HD (and amazon) sells to fix my 20 yo fence. They worked ok, but were a PITA to pound in, and I could never get more than one to fit on a post. They also looked terrible after beating on them with the 3lb hammer (since they were so hard to pound in). These are 10x better. Much easier to put in and look great since they are much easier to hit. The post is solid as can be. Definitely need two per post to make it solid. Used the front/back configuration. Highly recommend these.
