About 6 years ago, I took a dessert to my sister in law's house on one of my white plates. She then kept the plate and denied that I'd brought it over. So we've been stuck with 3 dinner plates. Which is OK usually, because we don't have many friends and if people come over for dinner I use pasta bowls. But I was delighted to see that the right size and range of Maxwell & Williams plates was now available here as individual items, so I could finally replace that plate. They really are excellent - simple white china, a good size, quite happy to go through the dishwasher or the microwave. Perfect.

Not the same as original M and W merchandise, but still good.
Initially, I was disappointed, as I have other Maxwell and Williams plates and bowls that I purchased many years ago. However, I was missing some items, so decided to buy more. The plates that arrived are thinner and more lightweight than the originals. However, once I got over the initial disappointment, I found the new plates to be still of good quality, and possibly better for being a little less heavy. I will be buying more....
