Grows quite big so I wouldn't, weeping figs are nicer for indoors.

will it survive in chalky soil how tall does it grow

Acers prefer acid or ericaceous soils. If you have very chalky soil add plenty of organic matter to the planting area or failing that plant in a pot.

How quickly and how large does it grow?

It's not meant to grow much - the roots have been cut to prevent this and the plant is in a tiny pot to prevent the roots growing. You also have to cut back any excess root to keep it small - they are meant to be miniature trees. Obe piece of advice I would give is to change the soil regularly - there is room for so little soil in the pot tht it gets "dead" (all the nutrients get used by the tree) very quickly.
