so why wouldn't this be , i love the magazine and all of their tutorials and each book they com out with is awesome for any aspiring digital artist , once you get started , you can't just buy one , you want to improve yourself more and more and get all the books :)

There are some examples that I liked more than others, but the book is a good resource for digital coloring and painting methods. As I stated elsewhere, this book works best when paired with "Essence:Creatures" or any other sci-fi/fantasy/horror-themed digital painting books. For those who may subscribe to Imagine FX Magazine, there's nothing new here unless you're a recent subscriber or you're discovering it for the very first time. As with most of these books, those who have some artistic skill will get the most inspiration from this book. However, it's not inaccessible to beginners. Most of all, this book is available for a price that won't break the bank--especially if you get it from Amazon like I did.

Incredible illustrations and a lot of great ideas.

Basically a compilation of tips tricks and a ton of tutorials, all very well laid out and with lots of crystal clear images. Wish it had more full page illlustrations at the end so you can see the final product. but otherwise great, love imaginefx

I am a digital artist and I am always looking to learn new techniques. This book deals a lot with Photoshop, which is not my Software of choice, but the examples are great and I don't have a problem substituting Corel Painter and Gimp to get the artwork completed.

probably a good how-to book, but too many ghouls and demons used as examples; therefore not really a good gift for ones daughter.

I love all of the ImagineFX stuff, this book is no exception. There are great tutorials with great articles from some of the best digital artists out there.

This book was sent as a birthday gift to an artist friend, and he is delighted with it, as he wishes to deepen his knowledge of computer painting techniques.

英語でわかりずらいですが、モンスターなどの描き方の本です 内容も幅広く載っているのでお勧めです しかしすべて英語なので説明がすらすら読めないのが難点です 私も英語はぜんぜん読めませんが、絵だけでも十分理解できます

Der Hammer! Alles wie gewünscht dargestellt und erklärt. Verschiedene Charaktere und Stilrichtungen von sehr Talentierten Kunstler dargestellt. Das Inspiriert und hilft sich zu verbessern.

Let me start off by saying that this book is a real gem! It is split to six categories: 1) Faeries, fables and friendly giants 2) Beasts in 3D 3) Vampires and demons 4) Myths and monsters 5) Alien races 6) Creature features You can find in there plenty of useful tips that will sharpen and enrich your creature design skills and help you find your own style in concept art overall. I have to say that this book requires some foundational knowledge. It's the best fit for people who have some experience at drawing. If you want to step into character design and master it, this book is a must for you!
