I just received mine but the lid is very wobbly- is it supposed to be? I can't find a spot where it doesn't wobble.

The lid on mine is wobbly, too. Every Crock Pot I've had (and I got my first one back in the early 1960's) has had a wobbly lid. It's designed that way to allow some steam to come out and keep the lid from popping off like a pressure cooker would. This one may be a bit more wobbly than some others, but it works just fine. I have dinner cooking in mine right now, and I can guarantee it'll be ready when I want it -- and delicious! :)

Does this have an auto shut off? or does it automatically go to warmer mode after a certain time?

No it does not have an auto shut off or go to a warmer mode. It's 4 settings are just "off", "low", "high" and "warm".

Is it normal for the new ones boil so quickly? Old one on low use to be ideal to go to work for 8 hrs, new one cooks in 2-3 hours - too hot/too fast.
