I already have another Op/Tech strap, the Super Classic Uni-Loop, which I use on a pro DSLR. On the other DSLR's I use Op/Tech wrist straps, which link in with the same clips as the Uni-Loops. So, when I needed a strap for a new pair of binoculars, the choice was fairly simple. This time I went for the Pro-Loop strap. Mainly because the Uni-Loop version isn't easily available in the UK. I spoke to customer services at Op/Tech and apparently, it's a USA only item, the Uni-Loop. So I just happened to get lucky when I bought them, that someone in the UK was selling them. I think it can be ordered in if requested by a couple of distributors if needs be. The Pro Loop is different to the Uni-Loop, because the two ends that stay on the camera are about 9 inches long. On the Uni-Loop the ends are approx. 2 inches long (or less). On a camera, if I remove the strap, then the Uni-Loop is great, because there's hardly anything left to dangle around and get in the way. I decided that for the Binoculars, this didn't matter so much. Plus, there's a trick that you can do with the Pro-Loops, where you remove the strap, but connect the two tails together. This creates a mini strap. Which is how I intend to leave them for most of the time. Because, normally the binoculars are just lying around the house, for looking at birds and deer outside the window, so they are not travelling anywhere. Therefore the big strap is unnecessary. However, it's easily clipped into place if needs be, for going out walking. One point to note if mixing the two systems, is that the actual padded strap part on the Pro-Loop strap, is much shorter than on the Uni-Loop version. You can buy a set of Op/Tech Uni-Loop extension straps to compensate for this. These contain a pair of Uni-Loop connectors, and two 8 inch connector straps, which all connect using the same clip in connectors for speedy connection. All in all a superb system of straps. Very comfortable to wear. They feel very strong, the neoprene padded shoulder pad is nicely padded without being too fancy. It's non-slip is perfect. I'd highly recommend them as a strap for a DSLR or a pair of binoculars.

Yet another great product from OP/TECH. I have several of their filter packs and I love their lens hoods. This is the second camera strap I have from OP/TECH and while both are great, I like this one the best. Both straps are essentially the same. My first OP/TECH camera strap has the disconnect clips next to the shoulder pad, where this strap has the disconnect clips about 3" from the body mounts. The original strap worked great until I bought a new Sony a99MK2, removed the strap from my original DSLR and installed it on the a99ii, intending to purchase a replacement from OP/TECH for my original body. Up front I should have been thinking of this. My original DSLR very rarely saw a tripod, but my new a99ii spends most of its life on a tripod outdoors. It doesn't take much wind to get those straps flopping around all over, causing noticeable image degradation. Yes, you can tie them up with rubber bands, twisties or whatever but that is a pain in the rear end when the camera is on and off the tripod every few minutes. So, the old strap quickly went back on the original body where I should have left it. :) A quick browse of OP/TECH's products quickly turned up the 'Super Classic Strap'. Excellent quality just like my original strap and without the 12-14" of strap still attached to the camera when the shoulder pad is removed. Strong wind still tends to blow the 'stubs' around but not nearly as bad as the much longer ones. So far I can't seen any image degradation in my images so I'm very happy. Another nice thing about this strap vs my older one is that when the camera is on a tripod and the strap is disconnected, the ends don't have a tendency to snag on ever stick, week or branch within 20 yards. :) The shoulder pad section - like my original - is very comfortable. A a99MK2 DSLT or a900 DSLR with a Zeiss 16-35 or 24-70 is maybe a bit much (especially with a grip and two batteries) for this strap. I think OP/TECH intended this strap for something just a tad smaller and lighter. However, I've been using my original strap for years and have never had a complaint. The shoulder pad is very soft and comfortable even considering its relatively narrow width and I've never seen the need for something more. The compactness of the strap also means its light and takes up little room in a bag/backpack. Very important when weight or space (or both) are at a premium.
