Word book aka dictionary
My 7 year old asked Santa for a word book. So this is what they got. They love it.

Great resource
My 5th grader was struggling with the definitions in my old college dictionary. This is perfect for her, and I like that it gives her practice with a dictionary (rather than looking words up online). So far, I've noticed it doesn't seem to have any Latin zoological names like arachnids, but other than those, it's included all of her school vocabulary words - and uses definitions she understands. I think we'll be using this for years to come. Wishing I had bought the hardback.

Good dictionary-my kids 9 and 10 use it
Kids love their dictionary! 📕 Funny to see the kids receive it and look at it with such confusion 🤣but after showing them how to use it they got it down. They use it often for writing assignments and also just to learn new words mom or dad tells them and also how to spell new words. Really recommend.

not perfect
While it does have most words an elementary school child might look up, there are a few I was disappointed to find omitted. Mnemonic and syllabus being the two most notable. I understand they cannot include all words, but I felt those two were an obvious oversight.

Great for All Grades & Ages!
I bought two of these for my 10 and 8 year olds for them to use for homeschooling. We had a hard cover children's dictionary that they were sharing but I've learned that my children get more excited about books if they each have their own copy. I put their name labels in them and they were so excited! My daughter jumped up and down. Even though this is a "children's" dictionary it is set up like the dictionaries I used in college. This dictionary will easily get your child through grade school and beyond. It's soft cover so it can easily fit in a cubby or backpack. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Questionable word inclusion.
Good little reference book. Was surprised to see the definition of “rape” though. Was hoping for the book to be slightly more filtered.
