Instant Cold Pack, Disposable, Large, 7.5 x 4.5 Inches, Ice Packs for Pain Relief (6 per Pk)

I purchased these to travel (air) with after an appendectomy. I was stopped at TSA at one airport, but after showing my scars they let me threw. TSA at my return flight airport did not stop me. I struggled to get them activated but my friend who is a nurse didn't. I assume it was user error on my part. They did the job for me! Didn't stay cold super long but it was long enough for my needs. Maybe 15 min?

So we do a LOT of summer desert hiking in the Sonoran desert. We do both Search and Rescue (SAR) and recreational stuff. We recently did a Rim to Rim hike in 100+ temps in the Grand Canyon (just over 24 miles with nearly 6000 feet elevation down and just over 4000 feet up) and we took these bad boys with us. We encountered SO many hikers in distress and used these and they were great! Instant relief and a real game changer. They are instantly cold (like ice) and lasted about 15-20 minutes in 105 F temps outside. They are HARD to break open (we had to stomp on them). This was ideal for us though as they lived in the tops of our 40 lb backpacks and got beat up. They didn’t break or activate until we stomped on them so that was perfect. They are a little on the heavy side for backpacking, but given they tipped the balance for people tipping into heat exhaustion and kept them from going into heat stroke? Heck yeah these are WELL worth it. Highly recommend.

Easy to use, great for dancers or sports!

I am giving it a 4 star because it works as expected. But the internal bag is damn near unbreakable. For someone with arthritis this will be impossible to use. it is of good value, but an enderly person will not be able to trigger the chemistry. Overall, it is a good product. Perhaps there is a "trick" we have not found.

After reading the reviews of this product I was unsure about it...I finally ordered the cold packs and was very surprised...Knowing there are a ton of cold packs out there...I found these to be great performers...FOLLOW the instructions correctly and they are perfect for what they are made for. They DO get very cold and last as long as stated...At the price and the way perform; they are a great deal...I will buy these again.

I’ve tried 3 different packets. 2 made a very tiny pop sound and it barely was cool, what a waste of my money if it doesn’t even get cold. Luckily I have a few leftover from another company. I’ve 5 packets, still no pop. Had 1 packet split at the bottom. Worst product I’ve ordered. Now how to dispose all the others. Ugh. Disappointed ☹️

Did not stay cold long

These instant cold packs were great to use after total knee replacement surgery. I had a cooling “ice” machine, but these packs were great to use in the car after physical therapy.
