No, Staticide does not damage plastic. If using Heavy Duty Staticide on plastic, try diluting it with water and isopropyl alcohol. 1 part Heavy Duty Staticide, 1 part water, a half part isopropyl alcohol. You can use more isopropyl alcohol (replacement for water), but alcohol will make a flammable solution, so store accordingly. The alcohol improves wetting on plastic, so you end up with better coverage with less solution. It will also improve the dry time since alcohol evaporates quicker than water.

Q: does this work on vinyl floors

Yes, but it might be sticky on vinyl. For a "Ready to Use" product on vinyl floors, use the General Purpose Staticide. If you have already purchased the Heavy Duty Staticide and want to use it on non-porous materials like a vinyl floor, just dilute it 1:1 or 1:1.5 with water.

Staticide is an anti-static topical, so we cannot specify longevity. If the tyvek is cleaned, the Staticide may rinse off. Dynamite and gunpowder are explosive, so you may have to go to the customer and ask their specification for resistance. A topical anti-stat may not be appropriate.

Yes, the Heavy Duty Staticide can be used as a maintenance product for eliminating static from composite decking. This product is not a permanent coating. It is a topical anti-stat that leaves behind a surface-active residual substance that washes away with water. It will have to be reapplied after it rains. Static generated from composite materials seems to go away as the material ages, so the Staticide product only has to be used regularly in the first year and then periodically after that if necessary.
