BAAPET 2/4/5/6 FT Dog Leash with Comfortable Padded Handle and Highly Reflective Threads for Small Medium and Large Dogs (2FT-1/2'', Black)

My teenage Bull Lurcher occasionally starts mouthing and pulling on the lead if he gets frustrated. It only lasts for a couple of seconds but he has teeth like a guillotine! Previously leads have been damaged in seconds. I got fed up replacing the same brand. So, I did a bit of research and BAAPET had a good name for more durable leads. He's grabbed onto it a few times and not left a mark on it. I'm not saying it's chew proof, I'm sure he could destroy it if left unchecked. Bulls pride themselves in destroying the indestructible. But while you're training your dog not to chew on the lead, by distraction with treats or whatever? This is up to the job imo. Its well made, I can't see any shoddy workmanship or cheap inferior parts. The rope is thick but flexible and as I say, has been between his back teeth and come out unscathed. The clip is big and robust with a good strong spring, first thing that I checked. Handle is comfortable, sleeved with soft padding. Joins look well secure and fixed with hard plastic guards. I chose orange to compliment his dark Brindle coat. It's loud! But I like it. Update. I've bought 2 more while at a cheaper price. If I don't need them I'll pass them on. I have faith in this lead.

I was sceptical when this arrived as the rope looked skinny and my shark toothed dog had chomped through two haltis already. However this has held up to several occasions of over-excited lead chomping without complaint. It is long and so can be looped back on itself through a harness loop and clipped straight to the handle to create a shorter lead if you need. The handle is also lovely and comfy too. Would definitely recommend

After finding the matching harnesses so effective for our two 60lb Pit Bulls, we invested in a pair of these matching rope leashes to complete the set. Having owned these for nearly three years now, I can say the sturdy braided rope is exactly what you need when managing powerful dogs; it feels substantial in the hand and hasn't shown any signs of weakening. The length is perfect, offering enough room for them to explore while maintaining the adjustability I need to shorten the lead for better fit and control in crowded areas. The ease of use is one of the best parts. The metal clip is high-quality and attaches effortlessly to the harness—that "click" is so reassuring when you need to secure a dog quickly. While it doesn't have a complex locking mechanism, the spring is strong and has never failed us. The soft grip handle is great for longer walks, providing excellent cushion against pulling, though I do make sure to take care of it so the foam doesn't deteriorate over time. *Note - it DOES seem to dry out a little over time. Not enough to be uncomfortable, but noticeable. These have been great for training and daily exercise alike. One minor note: a plastic piece near the clip has begun to slide up, revealing where the leash is secured, but since there is no fraying underneath, it’s not a big deal. While it doesn't come with a built-in bag holder, there is plenty of room on the handle to clip one on. Overall, these have proven their durability over years of "pit bull power," and I'm so glad I did my research when I purchased them.
