The Art of the Last of Us Part II Deluxe

Authentic: Yes Same as picture: No, there is no cover, wasn't sealed, the picture frame wasn't there. Worth it? Kind of, it was a gift but judging from the picture.

The book contains several character designs, without any deep explanation. It also has fully lay out of the Last Of Us II storyline with pictures put in the book in the sequence of your progress through the game. Mostly looks like "screenshots" from the game, although being concept background/scene arts. The following things you would expect from Art Book of the game which you won't find are: - deeper explanation of character design and their character - deep dive (actually any dive) into monsters of the game and how conceptually they were designed. There were a lot of patters taken from the nature for the monsters (molds, fungi, etc) - texture research for buildings, designs, etc. - text... almost no text and extremely high-level explanations ("this character is strong so it has bog hands - that was our though") Overall, the book looks like graphical novel to the game. It doesn't go deep enough into the research about the Art of the game, it doesn't share thoughts of the design team too much.

Per gli appassionati è davvero un bel prodotto, in lingua inglese. La carta è di buona qualitá, la stampa in omaggio molto bella. I contenuti sono tipici degli artbook quindi tante immagini e making of, dal bozzetto al personaggio definitivo. Peccato che non ci abbiano fatto anche il numero uno cosi.

Love this book so much. As a fan of the game this feels like an excellent insight into Naughty Dogs design process and it makes for a great accompaniment to the game
