DC12V H3Y-2 Delay Timer Time Relay 0-60S Second & Base Socket DPDT 8-Pin (DC 12V)

I wanted to add a short on-delay to my central vacuum system. I didn't like having the motor short cycle every time I opened an inlet valve, so I first tried a $30 Geya Multi Function Time Relay. The Geya's on-delay didn't work for me (their tech support was very responsive, though), so I ordered this Omron H3Y-2, and it works well. I set a short delay that gives me enough time to open an inlet valve and connect the hose. I can live with having the short delay when I move the power switch in the hose handle to the ON position. It works for me, so I'm satisfied.

Works great for delaying a volvo electric pump.

Upon applying power (12VDC) the Relay does nothing until set delay expires, then it energizes. 2 sets of N/O and N/C Contacts.

Check polarity on 12 volts. Diagram was confusing and reversed polarity will light up power light, and the time out light and timer works. But the relay will not work on reverse polarity.

Very easy to use timer. It has simple the knob to set/adjust the delay and good quality socket. two sets of contacts (DPDT} make it very useful in many applications. Contacts are rated at 5A each, I didn't run as much current thru them, so I can not verify this rating yet. I used couple of these in commercial machines and so far (few months) they work as expected. Recommended product.

Worked well to provide a time delayed torque converter lockup on a custom installation of a THM700R4 transmission in a vehicle without the original GM transmission computer.
