What Do You Do With a Problem? — New York Times best seller

Bought this for a first grade student who was struggling with anxiety. Was working with him and encouraging him to be brave. His parents appreciated the simplicity of the message, as I hoped. It gave him a tangible picture of being brave and that it didn’t mean problems might not be there...but that we have the ability to make something out of them and can overcome them if we choose. The art is amazing and also tells the same story as the words. Favorite author. This is for adults and kids. I loved it, even as an adult of two you d adults.

Excellent product for children

This has a beautiful story and the whole series is wonderful! The imagery and the words not only tell a story but teach.

Adults should read this to their children and grandchildren and take heed for themselves.

I recently gave this book along with "What Do You Do With a Chance?" to my seven-year-old grandson. My husband and I were visiting and I asked him if we could work on a science kit together. My daughter suggested we work on a kit he had chosen for constructing and creating a chain reaction maze (one of many configurations that could be made with the kit). My grandson had been intimidated by all of the pieces and the instructions were just diagrams with no words and were challenging to follow. We had read the two books (one the night before and the second that morning). So I suggested that we take a change and figure out the problems together! Since the instructions were not clear, we made some mistakes that we figured out and corrected. Afterwards, my grandson kept talking about how he took a chance and that we solved a lot of problems to get the maze to work properly. I don't think he would have agreed to tackle the advanced construction kit had we not read those two books first!

I love this author. These are great books to help kids realize their full potential.

Kobi Yamada's books are entertaining for both children and adults. This is a great follow-up to "What do you with an idea?". In both books, the author writes about the feelings of being faced with an idea or a problem, mustering up courage and facing them. These are abstract concepts for children but the illustrator does a great job turning these abstract ideas into something concrete. Even so, my child is still a bit young but the book does provide us with some talking points. "Remember when you were scared to get up the slide? That's how this boy felt." Overall, these books are keepers. Even though my child is still a bit young to understand the abstract idea of problems, it's an entertaining read that is sure to grow with us as she gets older

This story actually got my 2, almost 3 yo, to pause and think about the message. She's been struggling with handling her emotions and this story got her to pause and I could see the message really resonated with her! I want to look into the other stories in this series as well! We have the Maybe book and it's absolutely beautiful. Some of these images are on the dark side but it goes with the meaning of what a problem actually is!

Sometimes, as a parent, we don’t know what kind of things the kid has gone through at school, this is a great book for them to understand that when there is a problem, the parents are always here to help. there’s no shame to discuss the problem, and parents are always here to support them through the journey. I bought this book for my kids so that they can share their feelings, and if there are any obstacles or problems that they have a school, they can communicate and open to discussion with us. This is a great book to read, I would recommend for every parent.

Loved the storyline and illustration. Read it to a students and they adored it. The themes surrounding: perseverance & courage are on point.
