Unfortunately, if you work with your hands, a high quality pair of tweezers is an essential tool for removing splinters. I have tried a few cheap ones and they are never any good, which is very frustrating when you are trying to pull out a splinter. But I have to say these are in a different league. Only three stars though because for this insane price they really should come with a storage pouch to keep them nice and to keep them clean.

I've used other brands in the past but none compare to these. They are sharp and grip hairs easily. Tweezerman is the best, a bit pricey.
