Patriot P210 SATA 3 1TB SSD 2.5 Inch Internal Solid State Drive - P210S1TB25

Patriot P210 SATA 3 2TB SSD (Update, it's not good) Bought this to expand space for Games on my PC and it was a great price for a 2TB ssd of around £80, obviously it's not as fast as modern NVME's (half the price so expected) but it's more than fast enough for a games drive (see attached CrystalDiskMark screenshot) and infinitely faster than spinning rust. Fairly cheap plastic housing as I was expecting for the price, not really bothered by that, drive also runs cool as noted in HWInfo. Recommended at the price I paid and if I have any issues with the drive I'll update the review. UPDATE :- Well it's been 6 months and the drive started disappearing from windows sporadically, then would reappear when it felt like it, trying to determine if it was my motherboard I switched it from the extra controller ports to the chipset sata controller ports and still had the same problem, after a few days it got to the point my PC wouldn't boot with it connected, I have a USB dock and eventually managed to get it working long enough to (VERY SLOWLY) copy the contents to a spare drive and sent it back for return which Amazon did without any issue. So, beware, not a fantastic experience for me.

I installed the Patriot P210 1TB SSD in my laptop and it has been a great upgrade. Boot times are much quicker and applications load almost instantly. The drive feels solid and fast under everyday use and even during heavier workloads. Installation was simple and straightforward. It worked right away with no setup needed. I appreciate that it is SATA 3 compatible so I did not have to update any drivers or change settings. After several weeks of use it has been completely reliable and I have not had any performance hiccups. It also stays cool under load which is a nice bonus. Overall I am very happy with this SSD. It offers great speed for the price and is easy to install. I would definitely buy it again or recommend it to anyone needing a fast storage upgrade.

It is good that this company offers discounted prices for bulk and 'boxless' packaging. These SSD drives are well made and respond immediately when plugged into a windows or Mac computer system. In most cases the computer will simply prompt you to 'initialize' the drive before use. If not, just go to the settings option and activate the drive. The drives are standard 2.5" size and are great to not only store data but to replace older SATA drives in laptops and desktop computers. One pack of 10 drives is all that most folks would need. More than happy to recommend these drives for efficiency and price!

This would easily be 5 stars but let down by the body of the SSD it's plastic seems to be quite flimsy and not very durable , saying that the SSD is fast and preforms excellent and for the money it's probably the best value on the market place , other than that flimsy body you easily look past once it's installed , because how often are you touching the ssd once it's installed

This a 'day one' review, so if things change, I'll be sure to add an edit, but on first impressions this is a bargain. Whilst it's not going to win any awards, this is a plenty good enough drive for the price. Obviously, as a standard drive, there's nothing complicated to do, just plug it in, format it, and away you go. I connected it via USB 3 in a portable enclosure at first, just to get an impression of what it will be like to use as a portable drive, and it didn't perform badly at all. I will be more than happy to make use of it in that manner, rather than carrying sd cards which I lose far too easily. After that I popped in into the PC, and connected it via SATA, and it actually surprised me. I was expecting it to be a little bit better performance than the USB connection had given, but proportionally speaking, it gave a huge boost. If you are looking for a drive to put in a portable enclosure this is plenty good enough, and if you are on a tight budget, you could even use it as a main internal drive, and not face much, if anything in the way of bottlenecks from it. There are cheaper drives I know, but I wanted to buy from a brand that I have had products from in the past, so as not to be constantly worrying about it dying unexpectedly. Hopefully this will be as good as the other Patriot products that I have owned, and give me many years of faithful service, which will make it a true bargain. On first impressions this is very worthy of the 5 star rating, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody who is looking for a 'good enough' SSD at a good price point.

Would recommend as the performance is plenty good enough for general pc applications and the price is excellent. I’ve had a couple of these and no issues at all over several years. Enough said Update after 3 months The sata interface on the ssd has basically crumbled. The plastic strip across the top of the gold connectors has disintegrated such that the drive isn’t recognised by the desktop. Appalling quality. I would send it back but it’s full of my data and as it’s not recognisable the only way to protect the data is to destroy it. Wonderful. Complete waste of money, my time, and trying to rebuild the desktop from a cloned drive. Update again: Amazon CS have refunded without question, excellent service

I used this for adaptable storage in my Nvidia Shield Pro (2019), the speeds were almost the same as the onboard storage. My SSD fit perfectly in the external enclosure (UGreen) I had and it seemed to be fully compatible with the shield. Super easy to setup was basically plug and play, heat level seems low and good amount of storage. Works great and would highly recommend.

The SSDs arrived before time and outperformed my expectations. Highly recommended and definitely super value for money!

De Patriot P210 SSD 1 TB SATA III harde schijf gekocht om windows over te zetten naar een nieuwe schijf. Met het programma EaseUS Partition Master was dit in korte tijd zonder problemen gelukt. De computer is nu een stuk sneller voor een zachte prijs.

Bonjour maintenant 2 ans que j’achète c’est SSD a titre professionnel, déjà plus de 70 de vendu, et concrètement je suis surpris car le rapport prix et excellent, aucun problème de perte de rapidité dans les 2 ans après l’installation, aucun casse, aucun SAV pour le moment, j’en suis satisfait à 100%, je les prend par lot de 10 à chaque fois
