Is there a better replacment option then the original?

I don’t think so... I’ve replaced several times... but this one I haven’t had to replace again...

I just bought this and it requires me to have the volume control higher than usual... is this normal?

As far as sound level mine seems normal. I have 6 speakers that have these. Caution. Be careful on how hard you are driving then and pushing a clean signal. Driving a lot of highs to them at extreme volumes will blow then easily. Don’t want to scare u. Just know the limit of the speaker. Hope this was helpful for you.

Do this driver fits my ts315??

Pull your defective driver and locate the part number. If it matches this one HG00602, then yes, it will work. If not, I do not recommend using this driver in a TS315.

Would this work for Alesis amp 12?

Not sure, it works fine with my 12" powered alto speakers, easy install.
