Saved me $36 bucks!
I had a older quart of Barge cement that had become more solid than liquid and unusable. My options were to either buy a new quart for $36 dollars plus tax, so closer to $40 I suppose, or to take a chance on buying a can of this thinner for $25 and see if it would make my cement workable again. I chose the cheaper option... It can be messy to pour to start with, but with a bit of thinking before pouring you can avoid any mess. I used a funnel to pour it, and never spilled a drop. I was surprised at how quickly it worked! after a few minutes of shaking, the thinner had all incorporated into the glue and definitely thinned it out. It did take a couple times to get the proper viscosity for the glue, but I have a very usable pot of glue now, and have 2/3 of the can of thinner for future use. so all in all, this was very worth the money! I read reviews of people having it being messy and creating a stringy gloopy glob of the glue, and all I can say is those are all 100% user error. if you take your time to pour properly, its not messy. and if you are patient, and give the thinner time to do its work, the glue comes out just fine, with no gloops or globs.

works really well
def use ventilation, and get your placement right the first time, there are no second applies. Strong bond, but if you're using with eva foam, heat set your piece before using glue or it will delaminate with additional heat application. also is great for sticking velcro on a sandal that needs an extension. best if you get a glue pot so the main body won't dry out so easily. the applicator brush that is on the lid, is a stringy pain in the butt. so you're really better off having a smaller application system. Thin coats, dry and then apply

Rejuvinated my can of Barge cement, Saving money
Rejuvenated my old can of Barge! After 6 years, my Barge had thickened to the point of stringy gum. Barge has extended the life of SO MANY pairs of shoes and completed fabric projects. My option was a new quart of Barge for $34 or redisolve for $17. I used about half the solvent can, thinning slightly more than original but I always felt the original was a little thick. Make sure to stir thourghly, all the way to bottom corners!

This Barge Glue Thinner can succesfully rejuvinate barge glue that has become too thick to use.
Original Barge glue works great for resoling climbing shoes and any rubber soled shoes or boots. It is commonly used by professional climbing shoe resolers. I have resoled many pairs of my climbing shoes (they wear fast!) and my families climbing shoes after buying a large sheet of 5.10 sticky rubber. Buying cans of glue is so much cheaper than tubes but the solvents dry out really fast so you almost always land up with glue that is too thick to spread properly. This thinner really works to rejuvinate old glue that is too thick to use anymore. The only downside is it is extremely noxious (contains toluene) so it is mandatory to use outside or with forced ventilation and avoid getting it on your skin by using very thick gloves and being very careful. For craft use it is also good for making the glue thinner than normal to get very thin layers. This should work for other rubber glues too.

It really holds good
The best leather glue to use.

Don't over thin your glue.
It is a permanent glue as long as you don't put too much thinner in it. Thin it to the original consistency and you will be fine.

For all Barge Cement users
If you are a leather worker, and use Barge Cement, you need this product. You can use it to help clean up spills, dilute the cement if it has thickened, prep items prior to gluing, and in extreme needs light the Bar-b-que, just kidding about that, but yes. Make sure the area you are working in is well ventilated, with NO open flames. Seal the lid tight when finished. Some people may want to wear gloves when using it as it does pull the oils from your skin.
