Mr. Kate Tess Sofa with Soft Pocket Coil Cushions, Small Space Living Room Furniture, Green Velvet

This couch is AMAZING. The first thing that interested me in this sofa was knowing that Mr. Kate spent hours and hours designing, creating, and testing her furniture over and over again until she got the perfect fit. I fully trust her instinct and her design, but I was a bit iffy buying a cheap couch off the internet. The second thing that got my attention was the price. I am so happy that Mr. Kate had everyday people in mind when releasing it. I just moved and the couch I had wouldn't fit through the front door of my new apartment, so I had to quickly sell it (it was sitting in the back of my building with snow underneath it) and find a new one ASAP. Obviously I wasn’t planning for this to happen, so I had to be strict with my budget. I didn’t want to spend weeks looking for the perfect couch either because I had already moved in all my other belongings and was living without a couch. When I came across Mr. Kate’s new line of furniture, I was stunned at how nice they all looked. I was afraid the quality seen in the photos online would not translate to real life, but if anything, the pictures don’t do this couch justice! It is so much better than I expected. I love the building aspect of the design, especially considering what happened with my last couch. It took hardly 20 minutes for the two of us to put it together, the steps were simple and it came together easily. The couch is so comfortable, the fabric is soft, the legs are sexy, and the color is EVERYTHING (it has a slightly stronger green tint than the pictures show, which I expected since it’s advertised as a “green” sofa ). I am going to recommend this couch to everyone I know. Thank you so much Mr. Kate for putting these into the world (and keeping them so affordable), your eye for design and attention to detail make the world go round.

I looked for two months on finding a good small couch to get for my places. This couch is very comfortable, the word firm for me felt weird when reading other comments. It’s something I could sit on and watch tv for a while. The velvet is super soft and the color of the couch is a greenish blue. I was able to put this together by myself in 15 minutes. Minus the time I had to run to the store and buy washers since the package came without that pieces. 9/10 would recommend for a low cost but well made sofa.

The color of the green velvet is hard to describe, but it's a little more blue than I thought it would be. I have a teal pillow that I purchased a while ago from Target that matches the color almost perfectly. It's very beautiful but hopefully this helps someone else decide if the color is right for them. Assembling the sofa was easy; I did it alone at midnight in my apartment with no issues! It was VERY heavy to move when in the box though (FYI). I've had the sofa assembled in my apartment for over 1 month now. I've learned to be careful when moving it because if you lift up you can easily move pieces out of place (like the dang bumper on the front....I pull it out every time!). It is becoming a little squeaky in the cushions but the cushions themselves are very firm yet comfortable and the couch feels sturdy when you sit on it. The velcro on the back of the cushions is a little annoying, but it keeps things in place. For the price, size, free delivery, etc this couch is great! I was apprehensive about velvet, as I have two cats and they love perching on the back cushions, but it has actually been better than most fabric couches I've ever owned.

This couch is PERFECT for my tiny studio apartment! I was really nervous to buy a cheap couch from Amazon, but this did not disappoint at all. So easy to put together (took me about 30 mins to do it by myself), a beautiful color, and just long enough to comfortably lay on (I'm 5'8" and is perfect for me). It's not insanely cushion-ey and comfy, but it's not uncomfortable, if that makes sense. Highly recommend this couch!

The sofa is not as big as a full sofa but bigger than a love seat. Pefect for my apatment. Easty to set up! And, its actually pretty comfortable for little ol me. Beautiful rich dark teal color in velvet.

The delivery was reliable and pretty quick. I have space for a bigger sofa, but this is just right for either a small space, or to add other seating - which is what I’m doing. The cushions pictured are ones I bought separately. The instructions and pieces were simple to put together. As you can see the main problem was a tear in one of the arms. I tried to go through and get a replacement, however the system defaults to a return. The pieces would have been very difficult to repackage and big to get to a place for return. Although as I unpacked it, some seemed new and some looked to be repacked. Although, except for the tear, they looked fine. The recommendation is for two people to put it together, which would be better, I was able to do it on my own. I had to use chairs as props to put the front on. Where the tear is, you can see I repaired it. I sewed it, then used a specialty upholstery glue to add the piece in the photo. Luckily the tear is hidden when put together, I just then wanted to ensure it wouldn’t rip more. Fingers crossed. I’m sure many new things don’t get returned when they’re so big. I wish there were a discount option, or a part. But, overall it’s a nice firm seat, the Velcro holds all the cushions in place and the color is very lovely. Oh, in case you’re wondering, the box seemed fine and not the cause of the tear.

Was suppose to get the green velvet couch and through a mistake at the distribution center I received the light grey. Unfortunately at the time, the green velvet was no longer in stock and I needed a couch for my apartment so I decided to keep the grey one. Customer service did give me a partial refund for the mistake. I actually ended up loving the grey and gave it color with pillows and throw blankets. :) The couch is super sturdy and firm, which I love. You can tell it’s quality. It was also very easy to put together. Happy to support Mr. Kate and can’t wait to get more pieces from them in the future!

I've had this couch for 4 years and have zero complaints. I bought it for my photography studio, so it gets used regularly for sessions and for sitting/relaxing. It's held up great and survived 2 moves with zero issues. I plan to purchase it again if I ever need another one.

I was really hesitant to buy a couch online, especially after sitting on some store models in my price range and seeing how uncomfortable they were. This is an amazing couch. You won't find anything that compares in the price range. The colour is beautiful and it's a full size couch - it can seat 3 comfortably. The back cushions are super comfortable, though I foresee myself having to reinforce the buttons in the future, it's not something I'm worried about now. The couch is a little springy if you really plant yourself down on it, but it's not really something you notice afterward. I like that it's on the firmer side because I think it will have more longevity. It's still plenty comfortable. Be advised the cushions come vacuum sealed, so you need to give it a day or two to really come into its own. Honestly, this is a total steal. It's gorgeous, it's comfortable, it's everything I wanted and I strongly recommend it.

This sofa is well worth the money. Very attractive, easy to remove pet hair, comfortable. It looks much nicer in real life than in their photos. A deep sea green. Also extremely easy to assemble . Only early days but I really like it a lot

Took a chance after reading all of the reviews and researching this company. Cannot say enough about how beautiful and perfect this couch is. Very comfortable, cleans well, looks beautiful and every person that walks into our living room comments on its beauty. We literally LIVE on this couch and it looks and feels as if it arrived out of a show home. Several friends have already ordered the same after we’ve told them how happy we are with this couch. And the price is a mere fraction of what we were viewing of similar versions at our local furniture stores.

I was really excited for this couch, it looks nice but every time me or my daughter sit on it, one of the parts falls off. It is put together correctly and I put it back each time, securely, but it continues to fall on the floor. Super annoying and too expensive for the cheap performance. Sad :(

Arrived earlier than expected. Took very little time to put together. Looks -as in pictures- amazing. A little firm and not very deep but perfect.
