Quiet, attractive, reliable
So handy. Good size if you're looking for a small clock. We needed a few of these so that we could keep track of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). A lot of our calls and meetings use GMT but unfortunately our computers and our atomic clocks use a different type of time. So we need a reliable clock where you can set the time yourself. These battery clocks are perfect. These are quiet, reliable, and attractive. The hands do glow in the dark, for a while anyway. We've charged them under a light during the day, and they're glowing as we go to sleep. They're not glowing by morning, but there is a light in the corner which you can turn on by pressing a button any time, in order to light the dial. The alarm will be sufficient for most people, I think, but probably not for heavy sleepers. It comes on as a beep, gets a little louder (a little), and then it switches to a steady on. It works for us. Easy to insert the battery, easy to read, has a sweeping second hand, quiet, and very reliable. We like the cheerful colors, too. Very happy that we bought these.

Wonderful little alarm clock
This is a wonderful little alarm clock. Mine just finally died after I dropped it. It was 8 years old! It is quiet and keeps good time. The alarm is not loud, but loud enough to awaken me. I don't use the snooze alarm feature so can't speak to that. It usually lives in the bathroom and appears to deal well with a humid, damp environment. I move it into the bedroom to help me wake up for early morning appointments, now that I am retired. It travels well in my suitcase. I will buy a second one right now!

Good product.
This little alarm clock works great, is easy to use, does the job reliably, and is as cute as a button. Great for travel or home. Takes one AA battery. It has a gradient alarm and a snooze button.

Perfect design. Affordable. Dependable. Truly silent ticking.
I grew up with a trusty, no-nonsense German-made analog clock in my bedroom (bought at the PX when we moved to Germany when I was a kid, I'm sure). All these years (decades) later, I have no idea if my parents still have it around somewhere, but I wanted another because my phone alarm has let me down on the kid's school mornings a few times over the years, and I just can't have that. I wanted something that wasn't reliant on the electicity not blipping, a charge not happening, etc, and I knew something like the dependable analog I grew up with was exactly the sort of thing I wanted. I remembered the brand (I'll note that it was NOT this brand, I just don't want to say it because they are nice little clocks and I don't want to bash them), and looked them up. They cost a lot more than I was interested in spending if I didn't have to...seriously, we're talking over thirty bucks for something VERY similar to these I'm reviewing. I may be picky, but there were a few things about the design on those that I really liked and didn't want to NOT have in what I bought, the biggie being that I wanted an alarm on/off (not snooze) button on top that was easy to see or feel if it's engaged (feeling for in the dark... you know, when it's 2am and you wake up forgetting if you set the alarm and feel a little spooked that maybe you hadn't?). I wanted that on/off status OBVIOUS! So many analog alarm clocks seem to have the alarm switch small on the back, and if there's somthing on top to reach over and smack down, it's a snooze button... not what I was looking for. I'd bought a quite different brand that fit this odd spec of mine a few years ago, but it went kaput quickly, and I was itching for one lately again that would do better. It took a lot of rooting around on Amazon to find one enough like what I used to have, and which was not the fail I'd tried at some point in the meantime, and at a good price, but then I found this. It's so much like the one I loved while growing up in shape and layout, but *very* affordable, and silent ticking to boot, oh, and a fun color, too (I got turquoise)! It's easy to use, easy to tell if you've set it, discreet, feels sturdy, and has worked excellently so far. Also, the little light is nice to reach over and peek at the time without fumbling around. I need it PITCH dark in my room or insomnia rages, so I just set this nearby on a predictable spot the bedstand, and it's easy to reach over and feel my way round it to poke the light button to check the time, or run my hand over the top to make sure it's indeed all set for morning, no fuss or fumbling around. Perfect. I totally recommend going for it if you're considering this one.

An under-the-radar masterpiece. Deserves its own room at MOMA
No doubt about it, Peakeep has the secret sauce when it comes to silent, analog-faced, travel alarm clocks. As of mid-summer 2025, there were three colors available, but Peakeepers should be aware that as of the date I saw it advertised on Amazon the clocks were not identical. The green model has been upgraded, and in exchange for a slightly deeper housing the designers have managed to improve the ergonomics of a device that was near perfect to begin with. The button light is easier to operate, the alarm-set and time set knobs are now raised and easier to grasp, and can be set from the front, and the battery compartment door shouldn't present a problem for older people with dexterity issues. There was no need to improve the degree of silence of the mechanism, since the existing clock was dead silent to begin with. The designers deserve to be commended for taking an ordinary, mundane object that over the years has seen a thousand different incarnations and that no one will be getting rich on, and making it the best that it can be. Hopefully by now the black and white models have been similarly upgraded, or soon will be.
