I want to buy one primarily used for grocery, does anyone know if this could hold a 1 gallon milk without stretching?

I bought mine for the same purpose. I haven't tried a gallon of milk but it should fit I think. I fit a six pack of beer in it with no problems.

I have a wide 7" rear rack. Will these panniers span that width?
