So helpful. Small, but perfect for mini kilns

The cones are connected and need to be separated. I needed to separate them and broke several. Other than that the product is just what i ordered.

I can trust that they will perform as expected in the kiln

Totally my fault - the photo looked like the bars , and it does clearly have the word “ cones” - I will use them , but will not buy them again

I've used this brand, and type....type being the cones vs bars....for years. I much prefer the cones over the bars since I can control variations in my firing and can't with the bars. By this I mean if I need just a few degrees hotter or cooler than the cones fire at the correct position then I can move the cone over one direction or the other and it changes the temperature just that little bit to get the outcome I need for my work This is the best product on the market for firing a cone controlled kiln in my opinion. You can never go wrong with Orton pyrometric cones.

Orton small cones are just the right size but a lot of them are difficult to break. They’ve started making the cones in twos and twisting some of them are easy to separate but others are almost impossible to separate. So, your 50 really becomes a lot less and god help you if you have arthritis!
