I wouldn’t recommend for recording. It constantly shakes with any movement.

Will this hold a phone slightly larger than a iPhone 7?

This product is very bad. It does hold the grip at all. Cannot use it at all. I recommend not to buy this item.

Does this shake alot?

No, it is pretty stable. It is not flimsy at all. I have the clip attached to my emergency brake handle ( I drive and automatic so I don't use the brake) and it bends to what I want to bend ( not that easy to bend which is good) and it stays put. The cable is pretty long. Does it shake a little, yes but not distracting at all. For the most part it just sits there where you placed it.

Will this fit and hold an iPhone 7?

Every time I put my IPhone in it, it fell over. Would not stay attached when I clipped it onto anything.
