A great gift for both little and old Excavator enthusiasts !!!!
Got these for my toddler who is 3years old and crazy about construction vehicles---excavator in particular. He had a basic one that he was able to take apart and put it back together (another great toy) but now he wanted something that had hydraulics and suspensions like the real one (His Dad taught him all about that so....). THis is perfect. He loves it and his Dad loves it too. They spend a lot of time playing with it :) Its been 2 months and its held up in toddler hands so I would say it is durable....let see how long it lasts !!!

Not For Little Kids
This is a beautiful toy, but I would NOT recommend it for a kid that wants to do any sort of rugged play with it. We got it for our two and a half year old as a reward for getting out of diapers. The side mirror had a little plastic tie around it, and literally fell off when we took it out of the packaging, remaining attached to the toy only with the plastic tie. The bucket fell off within an hour of playing with it. We were able to reattach it, but i don't have hopes for how long the toy will last, sadly. All in all, I would recommend it for an older kid, but not for a young kid or for a kid that wants to do any real dirt work.

Very realistic
A lot of the toys you buy now are plastic and snap easily. So far, we have loved the excavator and it’s holding up well with my rough toddler boys. Do keep in mind the side mirror pops off and on. If you have little ones who put things in their mouth, I’d pop it off and keep it off

and the detail on it is fantastic. However
My son absolutely loves this toy, and the detail on it is fantastic. However, he plays with it in dirt and sand (of course), and the treads come off the tracks. It’s frustrating for him cuz he loves the toy so much but we’re constany having to put the treads back on.

Great little equipment and good value for the money
My son and grandson love all the Bruder equipment and had to have one. Like their other equipment, it's solidly built, there are parts available if anyhing needs replaced We haven't need to replace anything but my son browses their catalong and considers additions to various things so he knows parts are available. Good value for the money if you have a Civil Engineer in the making or two around.
