If the disc spins faster the longer it goes how do you stop it?

It spins SLOWER the longer it goes (Precession). It sounds like it is spinning faster due to more of the disk laying down flat before it comes to rest.

How do you patent a steel disk?

A design patent on the visual design elements is the most likely answer. A utility patent on details of the disk that optimize its action (such as a specific combination of edge finish, weight distributions, etc. is remotely possible, but IMHO, very unlikely.. The third type of patent is.a plant patent, which is what Monsanto (not Moderna) gets,. I’m pretty sure it refers to a design patent.

Ultra-cool physics toy! This spins for OVER 2 minutes normally as long as the surface is level and flat. The sound it makes is soothing for the first minute or so, then it starts speeding up and gets LOUD. It's great to show kids, their eyes light up with amazement as it keeps spinning. The ending always get their expressions going. It's great for nerdy adults like me, too!
