Top notch marine amp.
This is my second boat that I’ve equipped with Skat amplifiers and speakers and I can’t be any happier. The sound level and quality is unbelievable and based on my previous experience I know I got nothing to worry about regarding performance and reliability. We blasted the system for hours in the crazy heat of lake Havasu ( August temps around 120 ) with zero issues, no overheating, never cut off, never popped a fuse. This company makes stuff that sounds amazing, priced well and as reliable as a diesel truck.

Awesome amp but it needs air flow.
So far so good. Happy with it. Amps make heat so if your mounting it to carpet like I did make a templet and hole saw holes in the panel behind it so the fan can do its job. If you don’t chances are it will get hot and go into protect.

Clean powerful sound from a reliable marine amp
This is my second boat with Skar equipment and they consistently deliver. The amp puts out clean power without distortion even at higher volumes and it handles the marine environment without any issues. The build quality feels solid and it runs cool even on hot days out on the water. Great value for a marine amp at this power level.

Budget banger
This thing is great. Probably the best value for the money marine amp out there right now. You have a lot of flexibility in terms of wiring. Right now I have 8 4 ohm speakers wired in pairs to each of the 4 channels, resulting in a 2 ohm final load and doubling my power to $250 watts per channel. I have this mounted to the inside of my center console with a 1/4 inch spacer to help with airflow and it never gets too hot, even when playing full blast for hours. My only complaint is that there are no fuses on the amp itself, so you need to have inline fuses for it to function, not a huge deal but adds a little more to the wiring complication in the marine environment. Skar may get a bad rap, but both myself and the many other people I know who have products from them have never had problems. Take the time to install these correctly and set your gain correctly and you won’t have issues. Even when using cheap $70 Belva 8 inch speakers this thing sounds great.
