BMC Air Filter FB546/20 Sport Replacement

At 65,000 miles, I replaced the surprisingly low-quality, stock Maserati engine air filter with this BMC filter and have been amazed with the results. First of all, I saved a few hundred dollars buying my own filter and doing the installation myself. I found a credible video on Youtube that walks you through the process - it was quite easy. Took maybe 45min, and most of that time was owed to unscrewing/screwing the 19 bolts that fasten the "engine beauty cover" in place. Admittedly, I don't have much experience at all working on cars so I was happy to find that this was a task (as well as replacing the in-cabin pollen filter) that I could do independently, saving me money and a trip to the shop. Now, what you might care most about is the performance, post-replacement. I was very surprised to find that the car drives much better with this air filter. No placebo. It is much less lurchy and abrupt, especially in sport mode. The shifts are SO much smoother. This surprised me (which may be due to some car mechanical naivety) because I didn't think an engine air filter would produce such an effect on the smoothness and ease of the ride. Getting better air to the lungs really does make a difference in output.

This product is great for my vehicle. It was a perfect fit and it really made my car fuel efficient. It's alittle pricey but worth every penny. The company make these air filter for most make and model car, I strongly recommend people try these air filter. You will see the difference in how your vehicle preform.

Used in a 2012 Quattroporte S. Provides better airflow and performance. Sound is roughly identical.

Was a perfect fit in my 2015 Maserati Granturismo Sport.. High quality product. Will definitely buy a BMC again!
