Great size for filleting flounder

This is a classic brand for a reason. Their knives are consistently reliable. A fillet knife needs to be sharp and precise, and this one delivers. You can feel the quality in the construction. It's definitely a worthwhile investment for any fishing enthusiast.

I got this knife to process deer. Just like any other buck knife it is razor sharp. I like the flex of the blade and it is an around a solid knife.

I personally really like this knife. -The knife is a good length for most of the fish I clean, though it is a little small for a large or particularly thick bodied fish (California Sheepshead for example). -The blade is stiffer than on most fillet knives, which is a good thing in my book. I have had a tendency to warp knives in the past, this I think will last a long time. -The handle fits my hand very well and does not slip even when covered in fish slime. -The blade is very sharp, and holds an edge well. It also takes an edge nicely. Issues -The string is just an unecessary addition that soaks up blood, slime and nasty in my view. Makes it hard to feel like the knife is ever "clean". -The sheath would be useless to attach to a belt, but I always have it in my dive bag or backpack anyways so it does its job. Overall I am quite pleased with it. Out of the Silver Creek set this is my favorite and most used by far.

I bought the longer one for my fishing and now also use it for butchering deer. My son in law needed one, so I purchased him one as well. Blade flexes well for getting around bone and seems to hold an edge well as long as it isn't abused too much. I took off one star because it isn't the easiest thing to clean with those notches in the handle

Got one of these for a birthday gift. It’s a great knife. Now I’m buying them for gifts for other people. And everyone is satisfied.

nice filet knife, buck always makes a good product, stayed sharp for awhile but had to resharpen it as you have to do with any knife, the handle feels very good as well.

Messerkauf ist Ansichtssache und so habe ich mir drei Filetiermesser zur Auswahl bestellt: dieses und zwei Marttiini Marttiini Lachsmesser, ohne, 902819 , Marttiini Messer Finnisches Filiermesser, preiswert, Klinge 19 cm, rostfrei, Kunststoff-Scheide 904619 . Das Buck liegt hervorragend in der Hand, ist massiv und sehr gut ausbalanciert (besser als die Klappmesser-Variante: Buck Filiermesser Silver Creek, 420J2 Stahl mit, T ). Die Klinge ist sehr scharf, jedoch nicht so flexibel wie ich es von meinem WMF-Küchenmesser zum Filetieren kenne. Noch ein wertfreier Hinweis: Diese Serie lässt Buck in China fertigen. Fazit: Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, klare Kaufempfehlung!

Very good quality knife. Says Buck on it. Doesn't say made in USA anywhere on it. My edge rusts all the time

Wirklich eine lange Klinge, trotzdem sehr handlich und extrem scharf

The size of this knife is great. Its taking me abit to get used to the extra 3 inches but it feels nice and perfectly balanced in my hand.

切れ味問題なくキャンプの調理フィレナイフとして十分機能しました。ブレードが薄いのでブッシュクラフトには向きません。この出品の写真は20170420時点で間違った写真で、このシリーズの長いブレードのものと取り違えてる可能性あり。刃の長さは16cmで長すぎず形に無理がない。グリップは良いが溝が深く汚れがたまりやすい。
