Perfect I wish I would have got to it picks up black sand great and. It picks up my metal shavings from drilling.

Adhesive on magnet sticks and difficult to remove
Adhesive on pickup area under labels a definite problem if you’re using it on gold prospecting black sand. Adhesive sticks to everything

Ok, so small and lifts less than 1#
Not exactly sure how big it was going to be but it's much smaller than that, but np, has hard plastic handle not rubber but no big deal, but a "8#" magnet that can't lift my 1#.3oz ball peen hammer and feels almost empty is little issue. Quite disappointed to say the least but,.. kasara Sara, whatever will be will be I suppose.

Works well but this size/model is for lighter applications
I bought this magnet for picking up drill shavings and waste from my drill press and metal lathe. It didn't disappoint. It picked up everything I had on my drill press and my lathe with ease. It worked perfectly and met my needs and the quick release prevents you from getting metal splinters in your fingers. That said, it isn't for heavy duty applications, I think they have a larger unit for that purpose.. At this price point it's a good purchase.

Great little pickup with release
I frequently have to separate a lot of magnetic material from non-magnetic and this is a perfect little workbench tool. Powerful enough to do the job quickly and easily. Small enough to store easily on the bench (about the size of an orange juice concentrate can. Wish I bought this earlier!!!

It's super small but works!
I got it fast and it came in a very small package which was nice. I use it at work to gather the few stubborn nails that seem to pike up in corners of my machine at times. I really cannot complain, just know it's real small like maybe 3inches wide at base.
