Under item desc. it says requires compatible reducer for clear vu. Does that mean None...or the wrong transducer is with it?

The transducer comes with it. I think it means that if you use another transducer it has to be compatible. Mine came with everything I need and clear vu works

Yes, with the temp sensor. And allows you to modify the displayed temp based on actual temp measured with another device.
