Does it work only while applied,or it has a long lasting healing effects on dry and cracked skin?thanks.

I'm not sure how to answer that. I was given a jar of this by my oncologist when the side effects of chemo caused my skin to be very dry and crack. I applied it to my hands and feet several times a day and there was a noticeable improvement. I used it all winter until the weather warmed up and the air wasn't as dry.

Does it really work on spider veins?

Don't see how that possible since spider veins are under the skin and this isn't gonna penetrate deep enough to do much for them. Pretty sure there's nothing topical that can eliminate spider veins permanently
