Very Amazing & Helpful
My view of this textbook is the same as book two To quote: Organisation There is a specification, key terms definition, questions and application of material on each page which may be accompanied with study tips and a visual representation of topic covered. These complement the understanding of the main body of structure that are accompanied with the appropriate use of headings and subheadings. The book is spec centred but still a fun read if you enjoy psychology. The flow of content is presented in a logical order and builds on previously obtained knowledge with some references to previous text book or other pages on the textbook. Is it worth it? As a standalone, it may not be as ideal especially due to the pricing and how long this book will be used (approx. 1-2 years). However, it will be used almost weekly so the time pays it off. There are alternatives to remedy this such as the kindle version or buying a revision guide or it's kindle alternative. If you learn well by yourself and have the money to spend, I'd recommend this. If most of your learning is not self study, choose the revision guide. While psychology is a comprehensive subject, there are pedagogical features that makes this more engaging such the review questions (Check it) and the key terms. Furthermore, there are illustrations, examples and case studies used to further semantically understand the topics. The readability of the topic does match the target group and interest group as it holds beginner level topics to intermediate level. Lastly, my classmates also did enjoy how helpful this textbook was.
