This is my 7th and possibly final review on this remaster series as it is the last of the vinyl records that I had planned to purchase. In order to compare this record to previous recordings, I played it back to back with Capitol's "The Early Beatles." It has 11 of the same 14 songs on it. This was probably the 3rd pressing because it was on the Apple label. I was surprised to hear how good this still sounded. It was also in excellent condition. The remaster was a very flat pressing and was almost dead quiet. The sound is dynamic and detailed. It would be a great match for those that have a stereo system that may be a bit on the dark or midrangey side. However it does sound different from the older pressing. I could see where Beatle fans would like both for different reasons. The song Please, Please Me definitely sounded different. However, I would not say it was better than the Apple version. The remaster has good definition and detail and bass. It would sound great on most modern stereo systems. A note on the Rainbo pressings: There has been a lot of critical backlash to these. Some may be warranted and some may not. Out of the 8 titles I have purchased, 7 of those were almost perfect. I had a lot of problems with the Sgt. Peppers album of which I had to return 5 copies to various local records stores as well as Amazon. I could not get a good copy to save my soul. I have decided to wait on that until they fix the problems with that one. The issues with that record are well documented by not only myself but others as well. In conclusion, I am batting about 88% on these. I think that is pretty good odds. I was never interested in the whole box set but wanted the British versions for my collection. I still highly recommend the first eight LP's of this 2012 vinyl remaster series.

So far my first Beatles LP! And So far my favourite Beatles Album! The record has excellent remastering in stereo! Initially I was bit doubtful about new pressing but there is not an iota of compromise here in sound quality! Needless to say much about this debut Beatles album, all tracks are cent percent classic. My favourites are 'Anna', 'Do you Want To know A Secret'and off course ''A Taste of Honey'
