Quality and effective.
Quality item that helps monitor our furry friends. Adjustable that picks up motion that can also help with security issues. Tons of features and well worth it!

Excellent product
I’m submitting an update to this review. I recently moved and my pet cubes were in storage. I pay for the monitoring plan for one of them but not the other. When I unpacked, I only found the one without the plan. I had forgotten which camera had it and which did not. I reached out to customer service to ask if the plan was connected to a WiFi or ip address or what (I don’t know how those things work). They were very responsive and, long story short, transferred the plan to the cube (I haven’t found the other one yet) and gave me a credit for the four months I hadn’t used the cube - they offered this. I did not in any way prompt or ask for a refund they just let me know about it. That is some awesome customer service! Everything was seamless. I loved the product before but now I am definitely purchasing more cubes for other rooms and signing up for the monitoring plan for all of them. I have a lot of respect for a company that goes above and beyond for a customer! This Petcube has exceeding my expectations! I cannot express how happy I am with this purchase! It is easy to set up, easy to use, and has been working exactly as expected. The pic is with night vision. The video quality is excellent and it auto records when it detects movement. The sound quality is excellent. I highly recommend this for anyone that wants to keep an eye on their pet.

Good product but it didn't serve my needs :(
*4.5/5 stars- I was contacted by the company and asked to update my review. I will update it because they did work with me, but I want to be fair to the consumers. I returned it because it wasn't what I was looking for. That is not the fault of the product, I was not aware of how the product works. I need a home surveillance system and will set one up in my home, including the area where my cats roam. I did find it difficult to remove my payment method. I signed up for a subscription because I thought I would keep the product and I found it difficult to remove my payment info from the app. I was able to cancel my subscription but couldn't remove my card info because it's one of those where you have to have one form of payment on file before removing another one. I contacted the company and they removed my payment info AND refunded me my subscription fee. I was very happy for that but removing your financials should be easier than it was. ** It's a great product but it's not for me. The night vision is surprisingly good. The video quality is good, too. I have the trial subscription and didn't use it much since I quickly figured out that I didn't want to keep it. So, I can't comment as to the cloud compatibility. Pet cube is not a surveillance system. I like the concept and what Pet Cube can provide but it doesn't work for me. It is not what i thought it would be. I should've read more reviews or asked questions. No fault on the product, tho. Set-up was a tiny bit of a hassle. There is QR that has to be read by your phone and I don't know if it was my phone or the code but it took a long time to read it. Maybe the firmware was also updating during that time and i didn't know it. Wi-fi connection was fairly easy, too. I have 3 cats and one of them is pooping right beside the litter box instead of inside it. I don't know which one is doing it or why it's doing it. Is it due to bullying, is the cat physically not able to jump in the box? Is the cat just being a turd?? I don't know. The litter can be freshly changed and as soon as I turn my back it still happens. Whichever cat is doing it is definitely a ninja pooper. I got the cameras hoping that i could go back through the video timeline and find the point when the load is dropped and then rewind to see who has the stealthy sphincter and to see what else is happening in the moment besides the pooping. Is another cat hogging the loo, etc.? The cameras alert as to motion and i see one cat come around and then sniff at the floor, then another cat comes in to see what the sniffing is about. Since the cameras only record short snippets of video and then stop, it remains a mystery. The video snippet stops before any action happens. But the next video snippet shows the turd in the floor and the cats on the other side of the room as if nothing happened. I still don't know who is doing the dirty deed and since they are not likely to fess up or snitch, I'll never know unless i have some kind of continuous surveillance video. But i do know that i am returning the cameras and getting an actual home surveillance system, like Nest, etc. I think it will work better for what I need. I'm tired of cleaning up after these little turds plus, I can have peace of mind knowing that I can check my home throughout for signs of intruders.

Great For Catching Wayward Pets!
I took a chance after reading the reviews and am happy with it. I can get all 90° of my kitchen from the corner. I like that you can set it to a pet’s sound for notifications (mine goes “woof-woof” and it’s cute). It does catch people too (bummer!) and loud enough noises but it tells you in the notification if it’s motion or sound which is awesome! I sleep late so my husband unplugs or hides it so it won’t detect him going in and out of the kitchen and the notifications won’t wake me up but then forgets to put it back or plug it back in when he leaves for work. It will still send notifications but not make any alarm if your phone is set to Do Not Disturb mode which is also a nice feature. The picture is pretty clear for facing two windows. I dropped it about a foot onto its front lens and it didn’t crack, break, glitch, error or anything. It still works perfectly. I like the magnetic base feature and the cool metal ring so you can mount it under cabinets or on a wall. The swivel up and down is nice but I have to manually adjust the left to right. It didn’t seem to offer being able to move the camera view in the app. One day, it would have been nice to shift the view down via the app because it got bumped and I wasn’t home to adjust it and didn’t know it until there was motion detected. When I get in my car, which has hands free and I try to connect to the camera, it dials through my phone unless I shut off the WiFi. I don’t get that. It also won’t stay connected to the camera for more than 2 minutes if it goes through the vehicle. It also takes longer to connect to the camera, even sitting in my driveway. I haven’t had any weird squealing sounds when I connect like a few others have. I do wish that, when you expand the camera view on the phone/app, it wouldn’t automatically enable the *microphone*. I want to catch my dog sniffing the counters and wanted to see if she’d jump up to get something off of them but if there is any noise around me and I can’t shut the mic off fast enough, she hears it and leaves the kitchen before I can catch her in the act. The overall camera and access is free, but you have to pay if you want to access recorded video from it. It’s about $5/mo which isn’t bad at all - it could come in handy if you miss notifications or can’t access the camera quick enough. I did buy another brand but I am not happy with it. It only records in 1 minute increments, CONSTANTLY notifies you of ANY movement, has a confusing app that took me forever to figure out and annoyed me so much, so unplugged it and gave up. I would buy more of this PetCam instead. My two issues are these: It says you can share the app/camera but I can’t figure out how (the YouTube video is outdated, my app didn’t have the links or steps they showed) and I would like a way to OPT to be able to have the microphone be able to be turned off before full camera access if the consumer prefers it. Also, the USB to wall jack sticks out like 2” from the wall and where we have it plugged in was annoying so I purchased a flat one instead. Otherwise, so far, very happy with it. Had it about a month now.

So far, so good!
I've had this for about 2 months and really used it twice, but so far it does what I need it to do. I got this to look after my cat while I was away for a few days. I still had someone check up on her every day but it gave me piece of mind, which is what I needed! Installation is super easy with the app and the picture quality is great. Night vision works well too. The sound detector function works, but I can't say it works well? It's supposed to alert you when the camera detects noise, like if your dog barks. Sometimes it seems to alert me of the smallest noises and then it won't alert me at all when my cat sitter stops by and she's actually talking loudly. I did have an issue with it disconnecting from wifi while I was away and I had to have someone connect it for me since I could not do it while I was away. (Also good to know!) Makes sense you'd have to be on the same wifi to connect the camera. Lastly, the function to talk to your pet and hear your pet simultaneously does not work for me. There's too much feedback happening in my phone to be able to listen and talk. I basically have to mute sound in order to talk, and then mute myself in order to hear. Not the best, but it's not a deal breaker since my cat is a cat and doesn't listen to commands anyway. Price is also good. Seemed like an affordable option with pretty good reviews.

Not Great.
UPDATE as of April 2021: This company/seller/whatever has been repeatedly sending me emails, trying to bribe me to remove this review with gift cards. Shady as heck! Updating my review now to one star for this behavior. BE WARNED! Do not buy from this company. And no, I won't be removing my review, people deserve to know what they're buying from honest reviews, not those that are bought and bribed. Original Review: Not great. I bought this camera about a week ago to monitor the litter box, since one of my babies has been having some urinary issues. The night vision doesn't pick up anything or record throughout the night, which is the main reason I purchased it. It doesn't record when there is no motion detected, however, the night vision doesn't pick any motion up (even when you can see it on the livestream), so I would prefer it just record non-stop, which is not an option. To store your videos, you have to pay $50-100/yr upfront (depending on which plan), which still only allows you to store them for 3 days. After being plugged in for only a few days, the livestream completely stopped working and would not reconnect. I had to delete the camera from the app and re-install it, which caused me to lose all the footage from the previous days. I would expect it should still be available considering I'm paying for the storage. Within the app, there are no back or exit buttons (I think due to a glitch since they randomly appear on occasion), so in order to get out of the livestream (or anything else you click on), you have to completely close the app and reopen it. The two-way audio works about 20% of the time, which is frustrating since I have to make sure there's no howling in the litter box (due to said urinary issues). The support page online doesn't cover any issues I've run into, which I have to believe others are experiencing too, so I find it both odd and agitating that there is NO help available online. Overall, I'm not impressed, but unfortunately, I haven't seen any better options on the market yet. Not a complete waste of money but definitely not very happy with it.

Amazing for the price, but you pay for what you get
TLDR; it was great for what I needed it for, but has some serious downsides. I used this in my whelping room to watch my momma dog when it was nearing time for her puppies. Upsides: I love that it has night vision so I could check on her at all times. I also really loved that it saved brief clips every time there was movement because I could check how restless she was. Other upsides are- lightweight, easy to mount (literally anywhere- it comes with a sticker to help you mount it but I used a twist tie hung on thumbtack in the wall so I could move it for the best angle- the camera does move, but has limited motion so you’ll want to load the app & check your setup before mounting). It also connects to an app with your phone so you can watch remotely. You can also pay a small fee to talk to a veterinarian - a service I used 3 times! They could see her so having 24/7, unlimited, vet access was *awesome* (though not free it was worth the minimal fee I canceled after her her pups were a few days old). And lastly, you can reuse it for non-dog related purposes if you want. Like in a toddler room. Downsides: clips arent high resolution, app doesn’t save video clips, or have an easy way to export them for saving (I think there’s a subscription you can buy that might save them, but I don’t remember now). My app glitched several times and would randomly stop recording clips for several hours- but since the live feed is still working you may not notice right away- like the night she gave birth 🙄 I wished I could have saved some of that. Biggest downside- it needs to be connected via USB A block to an outlet (and the cord is short), which means your placement options are more limited, whatever you’re filming may attempt to unplug it (say, a toddler if that’s why you got it- cheaper than a baby monitor!) and so it basically takes up its own dedicated outlet if you’re running it 24/7 like I was.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PET CAM
Update: March 1, 2023. So far so good. Also, the company has sent several survey emails asking me for product feedback. In addition, I browsed their website and it seems quite helpful. Lots of information regarding this product and other products and services they offer. They also have a support section/Q&A where I can contact them about product issues or questions. As for the features, now that I've had the chance to learn about them, I really like that I can either switch the camera to stop recording (so as to not fill the memory space too much) ,switch it on to record when needed or even disconnect the camera completely if not needed at that moment. Also, I learned that I can add more cams and track them together on the app...I like that option and may or may not do so later on. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PET CAM. Worth the money I paid and what's better it was not that expensive!!! Love love the features and it's just all around good. The app is user friendly. I decided to try it and then when I saw it worked better than I expected, I went for the subscription so I could set it up to save the videos (memory space) not just stream. I set up the motion and noise sensitivity levels. I set it up to record any human and or pet motion/activity. Also, to record noise like barking and speaking. It has night vision, which is okay albut the day time recording is better (1080p). The zoom feature is a bit blurry when zoomed all the way in but I just keep it zoomed all the way out which is much clearer. I can use the microphone feature and the speaker feature from anywhere. I have also used it to talk to my fam when I'm out running errands and they're home. Example, I was at the pharmacy and I just went into the app, turned the cam and speaker on and asked them to feed the fur babies when it was feeding time. I have to say, I am actually quite enjoying this pet cam and all the features it offers and the best part is that it didn't cost $200 like the other ones I looked into. Also I didn't choose the one that gives treats or the one with the laser 4 cats because I didn't need it. It has the features I need and some I didn't even think I needed and a lot less expensive than others. I am glad I purchased it. So far so good.

A Perfect Little Camera
This camera does exactly what I needed, to be able to see if my cat has eaten or not. The picture is clear, the audio is fine and the view is quite wide. The only quibble I have is I wish it was wireless, as you're beholden to where your outlets are. I would like to buy another, but I need to figure out where to put it and what outlet it can use. Other than that, it was easy to set up, I have never had an issue with the app, it's a perfect little camera, excellent value, especially for the price.

Great simple pet camera
We have a 1.5 year old puppy and wanted to be able to watch her while we are at work or out of the house. Didn’t want to shell out the cost of more expensive cameras on the market but wanted something that was good quality and would meet our needs. Landed on the PetCube after doing much research, and they were on sale which was a bonus. I’m happy with my decision. We ended up purchasing 2 more so now we have 3 in total and can view the puppy from the common areas in the house that she likes to hang out. We have had them for a couple months now and these are my thoughts: Pros: - camera and app are easy to use - two way audio so you can communicate with your pet works well - wide angle view - option to have the camera make an audible noise when you log in to check on your pet. My puppy will run over to the camera when she hears the noise which is great so I can see her and talk to her -can share the video feed with multiple family members Cons: - only works with 2.5g wifi. Not a huge issue, a quick google search helped me adjust my wifi settings to show 2.5g and 5g. I knew this before purchasing. -picture quality is a little grainy but it is fine for our needs. Haven’t used the night vision so can’t comment on that picture quality -the camera is stationary II do not subscribe to the PetCube care option so I cannot review that but I believe it gives you the option of video history and alerts. For multiple cameras the cost is 16.99$ USD a month which I find steep so I will not be subscribing. I just check in on my dog multiple times throughout the day, and we usually don’t leave her alone longer than 4-5 hours. Overall I think this camera is great option to watch your pets while you are out! I recommend this product for all pet owners. I will likely purchase more in the future to cover more areas of my home.
