The drill bits are round, not hex-shaped. They are designed to work in a standard 3/8" or 1/2" chuck on a standard drill. The screwdriver bits are hex-shaped as are just about all screwdriver bits. There is a quick connect designed to be placed into a drill chuck and allows for quick swapping of screw bits. The quick connect is hex-shaped where it goes into a drill chuck (or cordless screwdriver but those are basically obsolete nowadays).

These fit any standard interchangeable Bit drills. Most all drills have a bit holder capable of being adjusted to fit bits and these are all standardized universal.

Yes, as well as 5/16, 1/4, 3/16 and 1/8 + 26 other drill bits all the way down to 1/16. Fantastic set.

It is just the drill bits. everything you see in the picture. You can use it with any drill. I use it with my ryobi 18Volt Cordless drill. these will work with just about any drill.
