Judy Graham is an inspiration. Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when she was just 26 years old, 35 years later Judy Graham is still walking, working, and has successfully birthed and raised a son who is now an adult. In this totally revised and updated edition of her groundbreaking Multiple Sclerosis, first published in 1984, she shares the natural treatments that have helped her and many others with MS stabilize or even reverse the condition. Beginning with the effects of diet, she explains that many people with MS have been eating the wrong foods and shows which foods are “good” and “bad,” how to recognize food sensitivities, and how to correct nutritional deficiencies using dietary supplements. She also looks at reducing the body’s toxic overload, whether from mercury amalgam fillings, chemicals, or medications. She presents the exercises with proven benefits for MS she has found most reliable and appropriate, such as yoga, pilates, and t’ai chi, and explores alternative therapies that provide relief and support to the body’s efforts to control MS, including acupuncture, reflexology, shiatsu, reiki, and ayurveda. Most important are the insights she provides on the effects of negative thoughts on MS. She demonstrates how a positive mental attitude can actually slow down or even reverse the progression of this disease. Judy Graham is living proof that, as devastating as a diagnosis of MS is, life can still be lived to its fullest. Review: Da leggere - In lingua inglese. Review: Good, but not enough - Gives a lot of information about treating MS, but most of the options haven't been verified by the author, or even investigated any further. It can be used only as a book to pick ideas from, and then you need to explore more by yourself.

Annick

A must if you have MS
Bought this after suffering my worst MS relapse in 10 yrs. Found this so inspiring and really gave me a lift emotionally. after reading this I decided to make some changes further with regards to my diet and the result of cutting out gluten, wheat, dairy and soya for me has been amazing....clearer vision within days and a massive improvement in my skin (had been on acne medication since age of 12, I'm now 35...after making changes acne medication no longer needed). Loads of information about many different aspects like diet, vitamin intake, exercise and more but Judy does not try to dictate what you should do, merely presents you with alternatives and you can take from it what you choose and what's achievable for you.

Opening Up A New World For Me.
While I am not new to Multiple Sclerosis it's self. I would say that I am a beginner at taking control of my illness, rather then letting my diagnosis take control of my life. I have done a lot of reading on the subject but not in the area of helping myself naturally. This book (combined with Dr Russell L. Blaylock Health and Nutrition Secrets that can save your life. Health and Nutrition Secrets ), has opened up a whole new world of vitamins and supplements to me. That I am beginning to explore and already seeing noticeable improvements. My boyfriend actually encouraged me to see if there was anything I could do for myself naturally, I looked to make him happy. As I had been conditioned to depend solely on the U.S. drug manufacturing to help me. I won't mention brand names here a they may help others, However some of those first shots I was placed on made me feel terrible. I do use a prescription medication as it has helped me, I believe adding the advice in this book will enhance my life. I would say this book is a good one to own if you have M.S.
