Should there be a rubber washer (seal) inside the lid? Mine doesn't have one, and I'm wondering if this is part of the reason the bottle leaks.

The bottle leaks through the spout, the ball bearing used inside does not create a complete seal. I have not had the issue with the smaller bottle I used for years, but I have had two of the large bottles with this problem.

Purchased this bottle and it leaks continuously from the moment I fill it. Help?

Get a different bottle. I got three of them for my critters and they all either continuously leak or don't let out any water. No matter what I do. I emailed the Kaytee company about it who said they would send me new bottles. Instead they send me new drinking parts that didn't even fit my bottles.

What is the difference between the clear and translucent bottles? The stock photos look the same..

I'm not sure what the difference between clear and translucent bottles. I will say that I would not purchase this again. Our guinea pig cut her upper lip on this twice. Also, its very heavy and difficult to attach to the cage.

How do I get this bottle to stop dripping? It has a slow leak.....

I couldn't figure out how to get it to stop leaking. I followed the instructions to the T!! It leaked non stop...I came home and saw my pet had no water left in the bottle when I had just filled it up that morning. I had to change his bedding and get a new bottle.
