Whas the difference between the way the trains move on this vs the delux train set? How long does this train move on its own w/ the “push & go” effect

Hi there! Great question.

With the DUPLO® 10508 Deluxe Train Set, builders could hit a button, and the train would stay on until it's turned off or the batteries run out. With this DUPLO train, the Push & Go mechanism is similar to the button - the train will go until it's pushed to stop, or the batteries run out.

The biggest difference between the sets is that this one has some new added technology. The train engine includes a color sensor that will read action bricks placed on the tracks. Depending on the action brick used, the train may stop, change direction, make noise, etc. This train also has an optional mobile app for added functionality. Pair up your train to play games, make additional sounds, and control your train's movement.

Is this set compatible with all the previous Lego Duplo train sets?

Hi there! This will be compatible with all DUPLO® trains that come with track. (We do have some DUPLO sets that look very train-like, such as 10863 My First Animal Brick Box, which have wider wheels which won't go on every track piece.)

The action bricks that come with this set won't be compatible with older trains since they don't have sensors.
