Will this help if I have well water?

Not sure what you mean. I have well water and water softener with whole house filter and I have no issues. Do you mean color? Or mineral buildup? This is a really good clarifying shampoo.

i dyed my hair dark brown, and my natural color is ashy dark blonde. will this help restore it to natural color faster than other shampoos?

I have used $80 bottles of sulphate free shampoo and this product. I have noticed no difference in this drawing my color out faster. In fact, it cleans my scalp better.

Is this shampoo good with dreads loc?

Although I have no experience with dreads, I would think so. I love the condition it leaves my hair in, and the light, natural scent is one which doesn't bother my asthma. It takes very little shampoo to do the job and doesn't "strip" the hair. Leaves it soft, but not limp. I use the mint or rosemary scent.
