The HiLetgo TTP223B touch sensor can be powered and connected direct to a Sprite video player to trigger a file to play. You can add a strip of copper tape for a longer / larger touch area. It will sense a touch through 1/4 plexiglass. It is self-calibrating, plug and play.

I have not tested these with arduino RPi yet, however I connected to my bench psu and it works great at 5v or 3.3. These are momentary buttons, just like a typically tactile push button. They are not toggle button/switches out of the package. BUT! When I saw a review from AARON A MONFILS <huge thanks to Aaron for sharing that> (he soldered a jumper wire to the VCC header to pin 4 (I think he called it pin 6, however the data sheet pinout called it pin 4) of the 223 chip to make it toggle, so I looked up the 223 datasheet, and VCC goes to pin 5, in other words: Just add one drop of solder to connect pins 4 and 5 and you have a toggle switch! See my pics with pins 4 and 5 jumped.

I am satisfied with these sensors- touch triggers through 1/4" of plexiglass.
