Is it pure salt with no additives? Can be used for pickling?

Hi. Yes Maldon sea salt is pure. I guess it is a bit expensive for pickling… but it can be used… Obviously you have got only be careful if you do lactoferments (normal vinegar pickling can be done with any salt). Even ferments are usually ok with the anticaking agents (…) of normal table salt… however if you want to be save, use rather coarse sea salt or rock salt. It is so coarse that it also doesn’t need any additives- but it is substantially cheaper!
