Does this product remove odor from books?

It is supposed to, but I haven’t checked any of my comic books yet. It has only been a few weeks since I placed them in my books…I would imagine it would take time for it to remove the odor and halt the chemical breakdown of the paper. It’s is supposed to be the same type of paper used by the grading companies.
