Thanks for the question. Our peas do not come from China, nor are they processed in China. We use only peas from North America and Europe. Ripple is manufactured in North America.

If I used this in mac&cheese would it taste weird?

The plant-based BARISTA (RIPPLE) milk is equivalent to 2% regular milk and therefore should be very similar to what you have used and therefore not weird tasting.

Why does this show up in a search for "phosphate free" when it contains phosphates? Renal diet people can't have phosphates. Phosphates are deadly.

A good question for an organic chemist --I'll take a shot--Ripple has TRICALCIUM phosphate--a calcium salt, not quite the same as Phosphate itself. Renal diets can contain a low range of phosphates.
