It’s a nice slim dash camera the only thing I don’t like is that it gets really hot and blacks out from time to time. I usually unplug it and let it cool. Then I place it back on the magnetic holder. The magnet holder is wicked strong and holds it in place easy to remove and place back.

I bought two, one for each vehicle. Both failed due to overheating, battery bloating pushing out the screen, constantly restarting.Nextbase replaced them with a different, newer model. Same issues only now they're completely unusable constantly corrupting brand new, properly formatted memory cards. One of the cameras has officially cost me with a claim as it gave a memory card error and froze, not capturing the incident. This camera failed at its one task. Shame on Amazon and Nextbase for selling this garbage. I would give negative stars if I could.

Generally its great. Easy to install and connect to your phone. I did think the download speed over Bluetooth was a little slow.

As you will find with almost all of the cameras, the app is frequently more of a challenge than the camera itself. That's the case here. I specifically selected this camera because I did not want to install another questionable Chinese app.The camera itself is outstanding. I added the polarizing lens which makes a big difference. The quality of the captured image or video is crystal clear. The unit itself is one of the most compact allowing me to put it just in front of my visor and not have it as a distraction. The whole setup took a little time to feed the wires and hide them, but was very easy to install. I have not set it up to do continuous reporting on the car is off.The saddest part is the app. The camera continues to work, but the app connection disconnects every time my phone reboots or the app on my phone is closed. I have to delete My phone in the camera and then reconnect it. This means you have limited voice control. The bigger problem and why I probably won't select this for my next camera unless the app changes is trying to retrieve photos or video. It takes multiple drives to reconnect the camera and the app, the process to load the video is so slow that it often times out and disconnects. This might be so over the smaller memory card, but that kind of defeats the purpose as well. I finally just resorted to taking the memory card out and searching for the videos on my phone or computer using a USBC adapter.Again, I absolutely love the camera and it's one of the best I've used. Everything about it seems consistent with the Garmin I recently installed in my wife's car. I just can't get past the app. Off and I forget to reconnect the phone, and it's not safe to do that when you're driving or stopped at a light even. Without being able to voice save clips or easily access and download the videos, it says become just a passive monitoring camera for me.

My thoughts after 9 months of use (Christimas 2021 to 9/22) 422GW is hardwired, has rear camera and proper memory card: Misleading - the unit is supposed to interface with iPhone and it will in low res but the high res video and photos must be viewed on a computer. The photos and high res video (which is the only resolution police could tell what happened) can NOT be played from your phone. First month: Constant glitching and setting changes, one support call to Nextbase. Months 2-5: constant memory card formatting and great video of thieves stealing my converter:( The police could have cared less about the video. Months 8-9: constantly freezing, internal battery lasts for 5 seconds (so easy to reset vs waiting 5 mins) and gets the unit so hot you can't hold it in your hand. My vehicle is garaged most days and 99% of nights so the Texas sun has not beat it up. I don't think it would have lasted this long if my car was parked in the sun every day.If I had it to do all over again - I would have returned it and saved our money. Great video of cat theft attached. Really expensive for the use we got from it.

I bought this camera about 10 days ago. Once installed it worked good for about 6 days. Today it overheated to the point I was concerned it would be permanently damaged. Even after I unplugged the camera it remained very hot for about 45 min. I called and was told it was the SD card. Now maybe media could cause the issue and I just don't get how but I doubt it. I looked up my SD card and in one article it was listed as one of the top for dash cams. When I called to get support I was told I had to buy their SD card. If it requires this specific card why not include it and raise the price a few bucks? Just another company with more hype than substance. I am returning this piece of junk.

I bought this specifically for a rear mounted camera.Nice picture, easy to use app. Not Chinese based tech so less likely to be intrusive to your personal info on phone.Windshield mounted camera does not tolerate sitting in the Florida Sun all day. Gets too hot while sitting in direct Sun and will not operate. You must remove from mount when parked and reinstall when ready to use.

The system was somewhat tricky to install to have power on 24/7. The first few months it worked flawless. Three months in we experienced the first error. The unit repeatedly alarmed on the startup screen and I could not reset the unit. It appears that the unit refused to rewrite in itself after filling up.I had to wipe the microsd card for the camera to work back again. I’ve had to do this memeory card reset about 5th time. Pretty annoying. *update* after continuously removing the memory card to manually wipe off my computer, I have lost two memory cards in this process.The built in battery is dead. It took only 2 month for this to happen.I do like this unit but it has been frustrating to work with. It’s easy to thumb through the different options, similar to a GoPro.I do question if the unit it built strong enough to handle high heat.I would not buy again.

Use it on my car ofcourse. But when i get it the battey don't working. Not possible too recarge it. Beacuse off that i will buy the same one again and I hope the battey working ( that i can regarge it ) Remember this is is one wery good camera. Best in test !

Je l'utilise depuis 1 mois et demi et je comprends pourquoi cette marque est reconnue. C'est fiable, la connexion (Bluetooth et Wi-Fi) fonctionne. L'application ne m'a pas encore crashé.Si vous étiez comme moi à vouloir un produit milieu de gamme (entre les produits Chinois et les ventru/blackvue), foncez.La difficulté réside à mettre le câble ( pour la caméra arrière particulièrement).

Und nur für bessere Sicht durch die Frontscheibe und nicht gegen hell strahlende Kennzeichen.Der eingebaute Akku ist nur Pufferung. Parkmodus am Besten nur mit Dauerversorgung.Kein Unterschied in der Bildqualität bei angeschlossener Zweitkamera. Mögliche Auflösungen stehen in der Anleitung. Zweitkamera nur an- oder abstecken, wenn die Basiskamera ausgeschaltet ist, sonst Systemabsturz.Mein auf dem PC installierter Player läuft ohne Ruckeln auf einem alten Vierkerner mit 4GB Arbeitsspeicher. Auch offline, allerdings ohne Kartendarstellung. Kann aber auch eine ältere Softwareversion sein...Notrufsystem geht nur über App: Die Kamera sendet ein Signal an das Smartphone, was dann die Notrufnummer wählt. Ist bei meinem Neuen schon Serie, für mich irrelevant.Wärme: Ja, sie wird heiß. Bis jetzt aber ohne Probleme.Überstrahlende Kennzeichen bei Sonne oder im Scheinwerfer: Normal wegen automatische Belichtung. Auf was soll die sich bitteschön einstellen? Nur bei noch teureren HDR-Systemen besteht die Chance, daß es besser ist.Der Bildwinkel von 140° gilt wahrscheinlich nur in der Diagonalen. Wenn die Kamera dicht am Innenspiegel montiert ist, reicht's horizontal fast für die Komplette Frontscheibe und vertikal von Motorhaube bis hängender Ampel.Für die Beweissicherung ist die Kamera vollkommen ausreichend, zumal auch eine Heckaufnahme möglich ist.

This camera is very nice quality. The mounting bracket is magnetic and works very well, it holds the camera very firmly and is so much better than the cheap thin plastic swivel mounts I've had on previous dash cams. The instructions for fitting were clear and they even supply a trim lever tool to help you to hide the cables behind trims when fitting which I found very useful.The rear window camera is very compact and is also on a magntic mount which works very well. The quality of the recorded footage is very good and clear, and this dash cam has added features such as wifi,Bluetooth,gps, emergency services S.O.S. alert parking mode plus others. One feature this camera has is Alexa compatability, although after trying to set it up for a while, I found this feature has not been executed very well and as many other reviews state is a bit of a waste of time, as I just couldn't get it to work properly.Other than the Alexa problem, this camera meets all my dash cam needs. I purchased a hard wire kit separately and it is connected direct to my car's fuse box so I don't have to have a cable plugged into my lighter socket.I would recommend Nextbase dash cams as they have plenty of useable features, are very well made and are reasonably easy to install. Price wise they are more expensive than other less well known makes but the quality of the camera and accessories justify spending that bit more for a well made set up. It is far superior to the Toguardset up I had before.

La telecamera anteriore funziona molto bene e sono soddisfatto. Istruzioni di montaggio e utilizzo chiare, buoni materiali. Quella posteriore ha Purtroppo smesso di funzionare dopo due giorni. Ho cercato un cavo alternativo per provare a vedere se il difetto fosse lì ma è impossibile trovarlo: non esiste in commercio un cavo mini HDMI / Jack 3.5mm . Ho disinstallato dall’ auto la retro camera e ne farò a meno. Aggiornamento 2 ottobre 2020 . Ho deciso di buttare la telecamera, il collegamento con iPhone è una pena, 8 volte su dieci non funziona.
