Lavish Home Down & Duck Feather 4 Inch Gusset Topper - Queen This is definitely such a great value! I was just about to buy the Pacific Coast feather bed until I saw this! I have previously owned several Pacific Coast feather beds and other brand feather mattresses! This feather bed is just as nice for a lot less! I saw many reviews where people were saying that the mattress goes flat and laughed my butt off! Of course it goes flat! Do you think it will permanently stay 4 inches thick? Because there are foam mattresses that can't even do that! For anyone that doesn't know, you will need to fluff your feather mattress before you hop into bed. I actually put a duvet cover on my feather mattresses and just lightly fluff it before getting into bed. It only takes about 5 seconds. The mattress does flatten when I get onto it, but I can still feel the comfort and padding underneath me. It feels like sleeping on a luxurious cloud. I've been meaning to get a feather mattress for months and my fiancé thought I was insane to want to spend that kind of money. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I told him that since he had never slept on a feather mattress he had no idea what he was talking about. Now, he agrees that the comfort of the feather mattress is well worth the money. He had previously purchased mattress toppers and says that none of them were even half as good as this feather mattress. This feather mattress is actually much better than most feather mattresses because as of yet, I have not had any feathers poke me. I read many reviews where people were complaining about the feathers and I laughed my butt off! I have had very expensive feather mattresses and have never had feathers not come out! In fact, this is the cheapest feather mattress I have ever bought and it is just as comfortable as others! I have only had it a week, but no feathers have come out so far. This is definitely worth the buy!

This mattress topper provides the essential needs for you to have a great sleep. It provides support but also allows extreme comfort for your back with the four inches of feathers. It is just the right quality to provide a much needed sleep. When searching for a mattress topper I tried my best finding one that would "feel like a cloud" and this one definitely fits the bill. It also has a soft material on the outside. The quality of the mattress topper makes spending over $100 seem like a small amount of money. I rarely sleep all the way through the night, but since I've got this topper I can barely get out of bed. It fits my entire queen mattress and stays held down with my sheets. It was also very easy to get out of the box and onto my bed. This will allow for minimal time to be set aside to put it on your bed. You must appreciate a soft surface to enjoy this mattress topper. If you sleep better on a hard or more firm mattress this definitely won't be the most ideal topper. I recommend this product to someone who can't seem to find a comfy memory foam mattress topper. The feathers provide a whole different kind of comfort than the memory foam. I know this first hand because I had a memory foam mattress prior to this one. Memory foam allows for a more firm feel while feathers allow for a soft feel. The first time I laid on this mattress I was extremely impressed. However, if you decide to purchase it I recommend putting a second sheet on top of your original one or buying thicker sheets. If you are a light sleeper you may notice the feathers poking out of the mattress every once and a while. It's an easy fix, but it does happen. Overall, this mattress exceeded my expectations. Buying items online can be tricky and I was pleased with how this one turned out. I purchased it through Amazon Prime so it only took three days to deliver. Therefore, with a fast delivery time you Wil be sleeping on a cloud in no time. You will definitely feel a deference on your back with this four inch feather down topper no matter what topper your switching from. Best of luck on all your mattress searches!

I'm so disappointed that I still don't have a featherbed topper for our new foam mattress. My first order for this mattress topper arrived the same day as my mattress (it took 4 instead of 2 days with Prime, which was annoying, but accepted), so we waited to open the box until the mattress was fully inflated. The day came to make the new bed all heavenly fluff, but the box contained...a car tire. Yes, a literal rubber tire. Epic mixup. So, I had to take the car tire to UPS to wait another WEEK for a featherbed. I was so excited when it arrived. It was vacuum packed really small, so I cut that bad boy open and spread it out on top of the bed to fluff up, then the husband and I went to the gym. 2 hours later, this mattress topper was lofting nicely, and looked ready to fluff up and roll around on. But, the air in the bedroom was overwhelmingly mildew-scented. Fluffing the topper just made it worse. My husband had an asthma attack and I was coughing and sneezing while I tried to figure out how to get the thing back into the tiny plastic it came in, or even into the box. I didn't take pictures because you can't photograph a smell, but I do wish I'd gotten video of my panicked feather-stuffing while the husband wheezed, as that might convey just how bad it was. The bed clothes and pillows all had to be washed as they were now covered in mildew spores (and scent), and the mattress topper had to be shoved into a different, larger box. Unfortunately, I'm now just awaiting a refund, as I can't trust that Amazon can get this order right. The returns portion of the website is efficient, but doesn't quite cover any customer "service" when you've been twice betrayed by a mattress pad.

Really happy with this featherbed topper! I bought it about two months ago and have been sleeping so much better. It stays in place, although full disclosure I have a deep-mattress pad holding it in place along with my sheets. I have found that it does get squashed flat (as featherbeds do...) every week, but I give it a quick fluff when I change my sheets each week and it's back to normal. Some others commented that it has a strong odor - which is does when it's uncovered (no sheets/mattress pad). I'm guessing that's the duck feathers. The smell goes away when the bed is made, so this is a non-issue for me, personally. When I first opened the package, I gave it a full day to fluff up and that did the trick. It's really comfortable - no poking feathers or anything. Would recommend if you're looking for a little extra snuggly comfort in your bed. I tried to take photos of the whole process, sorry they're a little dark!

I previously owned a similar product and needed a new one. I was very excited because I found this in the Amazon Warehouse for a great price. It arrived fairly quickly and in like new condition. The box was damaged, but the product was fine. Upon intial inspection and use it seemed ok, but the next morning I noticed that in various spots, there were feathers poking through. At first, I didn't think it a big deal but after a few more nights, I began noticing feathers in my bedding and more poking through the fabric. I am unsure if this is only a defective product or if the product design is defective, either way I have started the return process to receive a refund. I will not purchase again.

I am very happy with this purchase. I spent way too much time researching and comparing all of these that are similar on Amazon and went with this one based on price and how soon I'd get it. I love it. First off, came packaged nice vacuumed sealed. Open it up and it starts puffing up. Took a few hours to fully be up. I vigorously shook it and smacked it to help it distribute feathers and puff up. No smell, no feathers poking out. Just pure heaven. Does it make some noise, yes. It is down feathers. Is it a lot of noise or crunching and keeps me up at not, no not at all especially once you put your sheet over it. If you have never had a down comforter or topper and don't know what to expect, maybe you won't like this. Some people prefer the silent soft poof soft cotton. I don't. I love the sound of snow and sleeping in a deep pile of snow on this. It didn't make me sleep hot and so far no issue with going flat but when it does, that's just basic care with these. Just shake it and fluff it back up. Bottom line, if you know and like down/feather, this is amazing. I feel like a million bucks sleeping on it paired with a heavy weight down comforter and percale cotton sheets and a down pillow. No pic or video is gonna help make up your mind. I was there. Just gotta go for it and see for yourself. I highly recommend this. It just plops onto of you mattress and stays in place no prob with sheet over it. I am very happy.

I’m giving this product a five based on my experience sleeping on it two times so far. This is the third feather bed I’ve owned over the past 20 years. I consider this feather bed to be just as comfortable as the last one I purchased five years ago at a much higher price. It cushions shoulder and hip points for me. I’m predominately a sleeper and I love firm support mattresses. However, if the mattress doesn’t have a pillow top then my hips and shoulders feel too much pressure for my comfort. This feather bed really makes a positive difference for extra firm mattresses. You still feel the support but your hips and shoulders don’t feel as much pressure concentrated in small areas near the joints.

I bought the queen size and a twin size organic cotton duvet cover which fit the featherbed perfectly. After letting it fluff up, I had the most comfortable night's sleep I've had since the last featherbed I owned. No feathers leaking out or sticking me, just snuggly comfort. No foam or gel mattress topper can provide this kind of soft cushioning for my body. I have Fibromyalgia and this is the first time I woke without additional pain in ages. I highly recommend this mattress.

Before ordering this product many of you promised is caused sweating during sleeping. I am disappointed to report this has not happened. I hoped it would because the temperature here had been dropping to -40 Celsius and I am still waking up during the night - cold- because my blankets have come off. So…no sweating. Before I put a duvet cover over it, I found one feather one the floor. Okay…good…now I know it’s real. 😂 My pain was so bad , often I would dream hip surgery was being performed on me. Now I am not dreaming of surgery without anesthesia. So that’s a relief. The only negative thing: and it is really a misconception I had about the product- I thought it was going to be like floating on clouds. Instead it’s like floating on feathers. Buttom line: it works.

Softened up a firm mattress for a more comfortable sleep, but occasionally get a feather that pokes out and jabs me. Not pleasant. Also topper moves around and requires adjustment every other night. With it had straps or a non slip side to keep it in place. Seen cheaper ones and expected more for this price.
